Official Okie St. dismisses Z.P.

I need the season to kickoff. It'll help me throttle back my weirdness.

Yes, we were political refugees from same island as well. I wanted to make it a broader point that many young folks of all backgrounds could only dream of getting a full ride to a major university with all the benefits of being an athlete rubbing shoulders with fellow students, alums, boosters, coaches and even professors who could potentially help you in the future, instead of being an ungrateful, immature, a-hole.
you made the point well, meng! i always though you were a gringo given your knowledge of early 1970s high school and UM football.

This hits home with me as a child of immigrants, one of many in Miami, whose hard-working parents could not afford to pay for their children's tuition, so we kids had to do the Community College to 4 year school route, meanwhile taking on several jobs to pay for school and a beater car to get us to work and school. Others did it by joining the military and potentially putting their lives on the line. The hard work is real but the payoff is worthwhile if one does things right and work hard. Which is why I just shake my head at these kids who have a full ride and manage to not appreciate what they have which others don't. A shame. What a bunch of knuckle heads (and this goes for the other adults in their lives).

To clarify, I played only one skin flute. I am the sole owner of said skin flute and I only used my hands on it. I never kissed it nor tasted it - I'm not that flexible and tbh, the thought never crossed my mind until some sickos on here suggested such a disgusting thing. What a bunch of animals!

Gracias, Señor.
Alot of Cuban-American kids played football back in the 1970s, and often played it well getting scholies to good programs. It was one of our ways of integrating into society, IMO. Not unlike what Haitian, Bahamian, and other Caribbean and West African kids achieved today, at a much greater scale. There was a player at North Miami HS, Carlos Alvarez, who was called the "Cuban Comet", who later started at if and was a big deal in the community back in the day.
