You think Ponce can install his offense in one week, with a freshman QB who isn’t accurate, behind an O line who can’t run block? You obviously never watched Ponce at App St if you think that’s possible. His offense would be a nightmare for this team.

The fact Mario made that EXACT statement, with those specific words, tells me he's been getting a ton of internal heat about Gattis. That has all the makings of the dreaded vote of confidence.

I absolutely refuse to believe this guy keeps his job. I've seen and endured every ****** coach/coordinator this program has had....and I can confidently say Gattis is the worst OC in the history of this program.

Anyone who even attempts to say Nix was worse will get throat punched. At least Nix can use the excuse of having a punter in the two deep at WR. I honestly have no idea how Gattis sleeps at night.

Because of the fact he even referenced him directly by name when asked about the offensive struggles and then specifically made reference to something EVERYONE has been yelling about the last two weeks......the speculation that Matthew Weiss was the one actually calling the plays at Michigan on gameday, not Gattis.

Recruits are big time turned off by Gattis. The recruiting section today per someone that was there was harping about Gattis ALL NIGHT. Even some of thr families were like yean nah he aint it. Mario is a recruiter first. Again trust @Cribby here

I trust my eyes. I was yelling on this board after the A&M game that Gattis was trash and I had seen all I needed to see. It's good to hear that Cribby is speculating the same thing....but I didn't need confirmation on this to justify what I already knew .
 
TVD was injured 2 weeks ago and it looks like the backup QBs have no idea what to do other than hand the ball off for a 0 or 1 yard gain. Like, what have they been doing for the last 2 weeks? Not to continue lusting for Lashlee, but the dude lost King and revamped the offense to fit TVD's skill set. What has Gattis done the past 2 weeks other than to think it'd be cool to run condensed sets within the hashes and keep trying to run the ball into our linemen's backs? The man is punchless. Totally without answers or solutions other than to keep doing the same thing over and over.

They’ve spent $14M this season. Why not add Gattis’ buyout? There’s no ROI to keeping him.

I'm not giving Steele a pass, but I know no matter how much effort or passion I pour into playing my role on defense, it won't matter as the offense is going to lose this game for us. One guy thinks like that, others notice it, then they think it and it's a snowball effect. I'm not saying they are giving up although I expect many have, but the offense is certainly taking a toll on the defense.
