with the FSU win it looks like a prime time game. I think this is great, let the nation see one of the great atmosphere's and home field advantages in all of college football

I believe(like most of you) Miami is the better, more sound squad and at home, they should win this game - bottom line.

But there is one thing that concerns me - Brian Burns off the edge vs our OT's is a match-up they win. Take care of that, and I believe Miami will be OK. It will be interesting to see how our staff handles this. But based on today, guys like Jeff Thomas and Mike Harley should have a lot of opportunities down the seam. Jawan 'Errant' Pass was Rosier-esque today in his inaccuracy

Also Francois is a tough SOB, I cant lie, I respect the guy. He's tougher than a combat boot. He'll hit some plays but the match-up of Miami's front four vs FSU's Oline should be one very much in UM's favor

This is the type of game Richt was brought into win and this is literally FSU's worst team in decades. They still have some athletes but they just seem very unsound in a lot of ways

Finally, I dont understand what Petrino/Pass were doing at the end. You have 1st down deep in FSU territory with the lead. All you are trying to do at that point is run clock and force FSU to burn TO's. Honestly, the option of even changing a run call to a throw shouldn't even be on the table. Like Oregon last week, taking a knee or just QB sneaking it was the more intelligent play. Because at that point, time is more important than yards or points. This is Petrino's worst decision since that one motorcycle ride. At that point he has to say,'just run it' or 'take a knee'. Honestly, this was among the worst coached games Ive seen in a long time

Agree with most of what you say.

Looks like FSU is starting to buy in.

Next Saturday will be a dog fight as it always is. Willie will certainly coach this week like this is his defining moment in big boy football. If FSU wins the game next week, it could be the start of the something big in Tally. Hoping CMR coaches with the same urgency this week. Perry's first start in this rivalry has me somewhat nervous. We know what we will see early from our offense. 2 runs and a short pass on the first offensive series.

FSU had many defensive breakdowns an accurate QB would hit. If 12 was starting, I'd worry the game would be close late. Perry has to not force throws, FSU has better athletes than what he's seen. As OP mentioned, the edge rushers will be a problem as neither St Louis or Donaldson can likely hold up without help, but that's something you hope someone of Richt's experience can scheme against.

Honestly, I think we jump out early and cruise. This game won't be close.

I think the qb misread the signal , had to. That game is over , first and ten on the 20 is game, set match. They’d had 40+ seconds , down six and the whole field of Ville just kneeled it.

As for burns , I’d expect some chipping from rb or te’s, if our ol can handle the speed I think they can move him. Screens , draws and designed qb runs will slow him down.

Imo the ol is getting better every week, I’m actually getting somewhat confident in the unit.

If they have all these breakdowns next week it’ll be a fifty burger with ease. Lou trash qb left 28 pts off the board. He made Malik look like drew brees.

Taggart wants this victory in the worst way. Our defense will need to shut them down early and Perry will need to cut the throwing into coverage bullsh*t and not get the Daria Pack out in Our House. Patience and a relentless exposing of Taggart’s Defense will gain us victory.

If it’s a 3::30 or night game, the crowd will be downright ugly. It will be 90/10. ND esque. And that qb left 4 tds on the field. He’s way worse than rosier. Harley and Thomas will open deep up the middle.

Exactly. Saturday is his season.

Its gonna be a dog fight until it isn't.

The talent, man across man, isn't much different...but Miami is a better coached team. Still, considering how bad FSU has been, this is going to be their Bowl Game. They want to fvck us up.

Richt has to coach like he needs this more then Taggert. Because Taggert is going to coach every game like his job is on the line. That’s what concerns me. Will Richt be aggressive when he needs to be and not be too conservative?

We lead the nation in tfl. FSU O-Line is 127th in country in giving up tfl. Willis and co gonna live in their backfield.
