Ok...I didn't hate it

Guys, I sat next to a Miami(OH) fan the whole game(up until end of 3rd quarter) section 102 row 5 and it was HILARIOUS. The man was ****ED from kickoff complaining about the travel time, stayed in Coral Gables (LMFAO). And his kid was a 5th string wide receiver. By far the most upset I’ve seen a grown man.(somebody please by the tickets next to me) I was able to talk him up about MAC football and he was nice after I told him to calm down when the interception happened. I was trying my best to be friendly and it worked out. Overall, today was better than last year but we didn’t look great by any means. **** Texas A&M though. It’s war on 9/9. Let’s get it gentlemen.
You are a nicer guy than me I’d tell him welcome to the real Miami

I was there…this team is a 180 from last year. We’re on our way, not saying we’re there, but last night was a promising showing. We’ll see how far we’ve come next Saturday. Emory Will has given me hope for the future. Completely different team out there from last year.

Saving that offensive playbook for next week.

Lol we say that every year. I've been hearing that since Coker hired Rich Olson. Funny thing is this "don't want to show to much" stuff wasn't a thing in 2000-2003

I’m not saying I agree with that approach. I’m guessing that’s where May could have been the case.

Rewatching it this morning, we looked awesome, yes some first mistakes but thats expected.
Just so much to love vs semi quality oppenent.

Love DL Moten (0 tech) Kelly, Messidor + others A+
Love OL, WR, LB's A
QB & DB's B
TE - C

Those 3 Southern Miss turnovers as well

Miami OH was a well coached team and those are the ones that usually make us look terrible. We rely on mistakes because we make so many

On paper the GT game last year looked lopsided but if not for Kams INTs it might have been rough
Exactly in recent years a QB like Gabbert would have completed 60+% of his passes for 300 yards and Looked like a heisman candidate.

In fairness Cam at TE was only asked to block and he did a really good job of that

Clearly a different vibe from the team, not worried about TVD, considering the lack of playing time in the last year it's not surprising.

Now we need LSU to do the lords work and we have a perfect opening to CFB!

There’s a lot to fix. But it’s night and day from last year. They aren’t elite by any means and there will be losses this year, but it was progress on both sides of the ball.
This would have been a 20-16 game last year. Much improved play across the board and that can be attributed to the talent upgrades on the field and the better coaching.

We played Hurricane standard defense once again and our OL… those boys are big! Can’t remember seeing us look that physically imposing upfront.

Really happy to see us play big boy physical football.
