Naw we are fortunate to have a schedule were we donāt face any high octane offenses. So this is really a none issue for UM.You say based off the assumption the rest of our CBs stay healthy
Thanks for posting our schedule bud been wondering who we were playing this yearHonestly this is a none issue and we really donāt need him anytime soon.
Florida A&M - September 10, 2026
at Wake Forest - September 18, 2026
Central Michigan - September 26, 2026
at Clemson - October 3, 2026
Florida State - October 17, 2026
Pittsburgh - October 24, 2026
at North Carolina - October 31, 2026
at Notre Dame - November 7, 2026
Duke - November 14, 2026
Virginia Tech - November 21, 2026
Boston College - November 28, 2026
He really could sit out all of September and October. Heck even can sit out all of November.
Being back by Notre Dame and finishing the playoff run would be perfect but having him back in November if that was the worse case is good for UM
Our schedule is very favorable, and I think people sometimes misunderstand what that actually means. They look at a favorable schedule and automatically think āeasy wins,ā but one of the biggest advantages is that it gives a team room to absorb injuries that inevitably happen throughout a season without completely derailing its goals. Thanks for posting our schedule bud been wondering who we were playing this year
Our schedule is way more than just favorable. We play nobody with a pulse until ND. This is one of the easiest schedules Iāve seen in a whileOur schedule is very favorable, and I think people sometimes misunderstand what that actually means. They look at a favorable schedule and automatically think āeasy wins,ā but one of the biggest advantages is that it gives a team room to absorb injuries that inevitably happen throughout a season without completely derailing its goals.
It would be a completely different situation if we were playing Ohio State in Week 2, a pre-portal/NIL Clemson roster, a championship-level FSU, Louisville, and Notre Dame all packed into the schedule. In a season like that, losing a key player for even a couple of weeks could easily turn into one or two losses, and suddenly your entire season is on life support.
With this schedule, Miami has some margin for error. If OJ has to miss some time, obviously you want him healthy and back as soon as possible, but it doesnāt necessarily mean the season takes a major hit.
The other difference compared to years past is the depth of the roster. These arenāt situations where youāre replacing a highly recruited starter with someone who was never expected to play meaningful snaps. Pretty much everyone on this roster was highly recruited and brought here because they have the talent to play at this level. There will always be some drop-off when you lose a starter, especially a player as important as OJ, but that drop-off shouldnāt be nearly as dramatic as it wouldāve been in previous years.
Thatās part of the value of roster depth and a favorable schedule. Youāre built to withstand some injuries, get guys healthy, develop the next man up, and still keep the season on track.

We thinking OJ out at least 6 weeks?Feel awful for oj he worked his *** off put on some really good weight. In terms of db im most worried about wake bc of the scheme. But I also think it gives heatherman the opportunity to put JJ at safety and Bryce at nickel, heās a really good blitzer.
Iām not a coach and this isnāt a staff opinion just a personal opinion but our best defense will have JJ, Bryce, Pruitt all on the field at the same time
If he can be back for FSU 10/17 that would be idealWe thinking OJ out at least 6 weeks?
i think you wanted to say thisI aināt reading all that but good for you
Lake is more reliable with stuff like this.
What thread was this in over there? Didnāt see it.

Word is going around another corner is injured beyond OJ. Anyone hear that?
