Ohio State is prepared to bankrupt the state of Ohio for hometown kid and alum Marcus Freeman first chance they get. Day better tread carefully. He has little room for error with their unreasonable fanbase.

@ Indiana
@ USC
Oregon at home
Michigan at home

If they lose to Indiana, and are a two loss team going into that final stretch, it is very possible they drop one of those last 3 games.

That would mean NO conference championship, and NO PLAYOFFS.

As much as I dislike OSU, something about Indiana really bugs me. Maybe a tie would mess both of them up, if ties are still possible.

I have no problem with Michigan cheating to beat OSU. And yes, somewhere along the line OSU will be stunned by an unranked team they should beat.

I'm here for it. Hartline hid a lot of his deficiencies.
 
I saw where Day pretty much blamed Matt Patricia for the loss. Put it all on the defense. He’s a classless coach and it will all come crumbling down on him. He lost his golden boy in Hartline. the lack of WR development is showing. They have on wr and he was what he was before he showed up on campus.

Lets hypothetically say our only loss is to ND. They would say we lost to ND and be harshly penalized for it.

Yet, when NDs only loss will be to UM, they will count that as a quality loss and wouldnt penalize them for it.

Still, the enjoyment stems from the fact that Ryan Day could be looking at his first three loss season, the first three loss season since Luke Fickell was the interim HC, in 2011, and went 6-7 (w/ a loss to Miami that year 😁); prior to that was 2008 w/ a fiesta bowl loss to Texas; they went 10-3.

The last time a non-interim Ohio State head coach lost three regular season games was Jim Tressell in 2004 (7-4, won his bowl game to go 8-4); which, was prior to the regular season expansion of 11 to 12 games.

It’s a good loss unless Texas loses a few games. Which they could. I’m not convinced they are a really good team. They looked like dog **** for 3/4 of the game. Nothing manning did impressed me. He’s a dear in the headlights and mopes around the majority of the time. He obviously has his mind made up who he’s throwing to before the snap because he stares down that one player the whole time. He’s a terrible leader.

Patricia definitely has to shoulder a lot of the blame. Not all of it though. But it is crazy how he didnt really dial up any pressures and let Manning sit comfortably in the pocket all fourth quarter.

I want Ohio state to lose to Indiana and USC then beat Oregon in that 3 game stretch. Hopefully they would’ve already lost to Iowa then that’s 4 losses going into the Michigan game. Which would make that game interesting bc Jeremiah Smith would’ve checked out and started planning for the NFL by then.

I just expect them to only lose one or two. Those running backs are good, they have a superstar DE, Muschamp is an elite DC, and the team slayed the dragon early.

Sark’s won 81% of his SEC conference games so far and his team is loaded. I don’t think they played that bad at all, i think they had two very costly early turnovers. Felt like they were better outside of the DB matchup with JJ. I think Ohio State doesn’t have as talented of a team as usual but they are still good. Very difficult schedule however. I don’t believe Oregon is on the same level as either team, for example.

Don’t foresee Sark going undefeated. I think they’ll lose one or two to LSU, A&M and/or Ole Miss. No UGA or Alabama on the schedule is big-time. Kirby and Ryan Day own 5 of his 6 losses in the last two years. DeBoer and Venerables were his only two losses in 2023, and DeBoer beat him in a 2022 bowl game. Venerables is 1-3 against Sark, and looks like he has another 6 win team on his hands this year.
