Ohio States Remaining Schedule

Jeremiah Smith looked better as a freshman than he looked last year or now.

Ohio State didn’t develop him at all. He hasn’t improved since he got there. Development means you get better every year.

To all those people saying he made the right choice going to OSU, that’s pretty much been proven wrong.
He won a ring. He’s rich. He’ll be the first non-qb taken. What more is there to develop?

It’s way too soon to tell. Between Michigan, Oregon, Iowa, USC, and Indiana there’s a lot of opportunity for ranked wins even with a loss or two.

3 ranked wins is more than most of the at-large selections have in any given year of the 12 team playoff.

Depending on how those teams shake out there’s probably a combination of W-L that qualifies for the playoffs at 9-3.
I doubt it.

Unless the third loss is in the Conference championship a three loss team is not going to the playoffs.

Honestly most times he stops himself. His career has been a ton of stat padding against weak teams and no shows in the 4th quarter
Yall gotta stop this lol I know we hate OSU but JJ smith is literally the reason they won a chip and he’s **** near singlehandedly keeping them relevant there’s NO way yall would be talkin like this about him if he was @ Miami 😂😂😂

I can see Ohio State missing the playoffs for sure. Sayin isn't what everyone thinks and JJ seems to be the only legit weapon as of now. Long way to go with the season though.

Iowa's Defense is really good this year & they actually have a semblance of an Offense now, so that game will be a lot more difficult than it looks on paper.

Facts. They always have a tough defense, but that offense.....lol. My nephew is a Freshman CB at Iowa this year. Be looking out for him @Memnon! His big bro (Donovan Jones) starts at Nebraska at CB. Both are tough.

They should have developed a better offense around him that gives him more opportunities to showcase skills other than "bail us out, bro." I think they currently leave a lot on the table. I wouldn't trust sending kids there like in the past. In fact, I'd light the whole place on fire, wait for it to die out, and then light it on fire again. But, that's just me. Maybe I'm biased.

When you include the contest that UT was trailing the entire game which led to obvious passing situations all second half, that stat is even more absurd.

Semi related - how did Matt Patricia “earn” this reputation as a defensive guru? Because he ran the Pars (already established) defense for some years while the team was successful? Matt Pat is the Blake James of corches.
He was even worse as an offensive coordinator.

That’s a different argument to me. Everyone knows his skills. He’s a generational player. He currently has the 2nd best odds for the heisman as well. On a personal level it’s not going to get much better.

The last time OSU beat a legit CFP team was January 20th 2025. They barely beat a UT team that was breaking in Manning. The defense was the sole reason, because that offense was shut down.

The offense, outside of Smith, isn't very good and their schedule is way harder this season than last. Smith has had monster games his last 3 vs CFP level teams, and OSU is 0-3. Shut down the run and shut down the other targets, and regardless of what Smith does, they don't stand much of a chance. Their defense is nowhere close to what it was a year ago. Unless Henry Jr becomes a serious threat, OSU could lose 3 games or more.

Texas did more self-inflicted damage to themselves the other night than what OSU did to them. Once Texas got their legs they walked right past them.

Yeah, I was joking around out of pure hate. I figured the lighting them on fire twice stuff would get that across. I may mean it, though.

They absolutely, 100 %, would put a 3 loss Ohio State team in.
Not if they don’t have any quality wins.

In this scenario, they better hope Texas makes the playoffs (they also have to play Tennessee, Ole Miss, LSU, Florida, A&M, couple trappy games like Miss St and Missouri…), and they better hope beating someone like Michigan or Oregon is actually worth something more than a win against an 8-4 team.

Agree with Memnon that they should beat Indiana, Michigan and Oregon, however. Not sure what game you guys watched, but OSU was clearly the better team for 3Q then collapsed. We went from solidifying Arch as a fraud and running Sark out of town to all of a sudden everything is ok. OSU is still really good, and Texas got fortunate.

I’ll forgive the Dolphins for what they pulled with Bain if they draft him instead of one of these overrated QBs (sans Mensah) 😂

If Dolphins have the first pick, might not be a bad idea if they traded the pick to the Titans for Ward and a truckload of picks. I think Titans fans would give their left nut for Archie Manning. Fins are garbage all the way around, having Smith fixes nothing. Start with the QB (Ward) and then rebuild the roster.

TrumpyCane did some deep diving in the off season because was in an argument with an OSU fand about WRU

Before Hartline came around their last WR drafted 1st round was like 2008

That’s not the worst idea but if we can’t trade for a good haul I’d give Willis one more year and at least give him a real deal weapon to work with.. I’m not impressed with these QBs at the top of the board outside of Mensah and Maiava..worst case scenario you Draft a QB first in 2028 and already have an elite talent waiting for them to work with. If The Dolphins Draft Arch Manning or Dante Moore I’m officially done wit em ✅

Ryan Day has made the tough decision to stop coloring his beard coal black. He is switching his formula to Jet Black instead. He believes this transition will help the team to have a stronger mentality in the 4th quarter when things start to break down. "The power of a dark beard is undeniable" Says Day in a released statement. "I take full responsibility for letting my attention to this matter slip, but no more!" "Blah blah ~ Force feeding J-Smiff~ ~running game~ Blah Blah"
