Didnt they lose to ND with DJ at QB or did I miss something

Confused Curb Your Enthusiasm GIF

If you were paying attention I’m comparing with Lawrence at QB this year with DJ. What games would they have lost with DJ at QB that TL played?

You guys are stuck on this NFL crap. I don't give a **** what he does in the NFL; he's transcendent HERE.
I am, yes. The reason I'm a Miami Hurricanes fan is because of the players they put into the NFL.

Our best teams produced a lot of good NFL talent. Conversely, in the last 15 years we've produced a lot of NFL roster filler.

The two are linked. Not every good player for us has to go on to be an NFL star - e.g. Dorsey - but it helps.

A ‘transcendent’ QB is the type that would single handedly keep us close or take us to victory in a game like the Clemson game ...King is great , but let’s not act like he’s some once in a generation QB. Other than the NC state game he’s had pretty average games , some of that was on the WRs but he missed a lot of throws too

If he does leave my hope is that he was able to help mentor and groom the next guy up . Especially in a weird season like this with extended bye weeks . Who knows how much better this offense would look if we had been able to have all of our practices...this is still Lashlee’s first year...let’s see what he does with guys like Van Dyke or Matocha in a full off season before we write off the season just because King leaves. We’ve already seen what he’s done with limited time

They've been going pretty hard after Garcia or at least Lashlee was. I sense is that he's leaving that up to him. If anything, I'm hoping he has a grad transfer at CB lined up.
Not a huge fan of Garcia and definitely dont like the traveling clown show that comes with him. (mom and dad). So I agree that lets hope we use more scholies on grad transfer CBs.

Is that the award for the coach who scores the most impactful transfer?
:ROFLMAO: They told him last year, win 7-8 at least, you are front line for an extension and the Dodd Trophy.

He is 1 of 19 coaches on the list. I'm ready for some odds. Pretty sad there are "fans" taunting other fans for the equivalent of a participation ribbon, a mid-season watch list. I bet some of them think he already won it.

All seriousness, you have to put him on it. Regardless of the competition or how the games were won, they were won....but still, it is a watch list.

Maybe he seems that way because we haven't seen it in a while. You see a lot of QBs that can run but what has impressed me the most is his mental toughness. That's badly needed with this team. Watching the NC ST game, I had no doubt he was going to go down the field and get the go ahead TD. I don't know how long it's been since I've felt that confident about a UM QB.
He's been nothing short of awesome here. He's had a couple little blips along the way, but nothing that has cost us any games. And he's put the team on his back several times and carried us. From his play to his demeanor to his approach to his calmness, he's the difference between 7-1 and 4-4, and that's transcendent in my book.

There's not a QB living or dead who would have won that Clemson game.

I actually felt that way even after the grounding penalty. I was like, yeah, who cares, just put another 10 yards on you losers.

Who has truly been the key ingedient to our Canes turnaround?

Lashlee or King?

I'd argue Lashlee (amd Justice) not as any dig on King (great player in his role), but do we think 7-1 now with a Danus Penos as OC?

I'm not suggesting Canes are 7-1 with Lashee-Williams pairing (or Perry or TVD), but I get the feeling they are "better" than this time last year.

If we had Aaron Rodgers it would have been 42-24 instead of 42-17. Who cares.

The mopes will love this one lol.

.... I mean how many times has Miami seen a player on some "watch list" for some award they have a 3% chance of winning.

This is the same thing; akin to a participation trophy for literally 98% of the coaches on the list.

Move along. Nothing to see here.
