Oh boy

Look, I had my doubts coming into this year and I’m pleasantly surprised by the results so far...

But let’s be real, it’s a mid season watch list lol

I’ll save the celebration for when we win out and smack somebody in a bowl game

I see nothing that should get any fan too up or too down. Its great he is on the Watch list and all but lets not act like he is a finalist for the **** thing either. Both sides of this argument can be right here.

That said, Manny seems to be smart enough to know that this is a one night stand with DKing and he has to get up and go home soon back to reality. I wouldnt be shocked if he had a grad transfer QB board already up and ready. I am sure that is why he hasnt gone hard after any QB recruits either. We will see soon.
or maybe King has said he's in for next year too.

King will only get a cup of coffee in the NFL. Transcendent isn't the word I'd use for him.

He's obviously made a huge difference though - and that's on the HC / OC. Good QB play covers up a lot of warts.

They have to develop TVD / convince King to come back / recruit another good QB in the next few years to continue the process.

King is a top 10 college QB, but's not in the tier of "transcendent QBs." He's not Cam Newton, Joe Burrows, Trevor Lawrence, or Kenny Pickett (but then again, there is only one Pickett). King is a QB who can certainly win you a few games on his own (as a top college QB should) but he is not a generational talent that can virtually single-handedly carry a team for a full season to a national championship. He is a good QB that chose to go to a team that runs an offense well suited to his skill set.

The proof that Miami, without King, was actually a better team that most are giving credit for is blindingly obvious. King could have transferred to any number of "top" programs. There were dozens of schools that wanted him. LSU or UGA would give their left nut to have him right now. King had one year to make a big enough impact to get noticed by the NFL. You have to be a special kind of dumb to believe that King would look at the list of teams that wanted him and said, "Which one of these teams is the least talented?" He came to Miami because he saw enough talent that he could win games, show off his skills, and make a good impression for the NFL scouts.

It is a fact that you are the only poster on this site that actually thinks Notre Dame would have upset Clemson with Trevor Lawrence.

DJ threw for more yards than Lawrence ever has 439 and 2 touchdowns. Book played the game of his life, nothing more anyone on Clemson’s offense could’ve done. That loss was on the defense.

You guys are stuck on this NFL crap. I don't give a **** what he does in the NFL; he's transcendent HERE.

A good coach ensures his roster is ready to compete in all phases of the game. Manny accomplished that and then some with the added new coaches he brought in. He deserves credit for that whether people like him or not.
I give him credit.....but he also deserves criticism for the D side coaches who most arent qualified or just suck at it. When he stops being like Richt/Golden and fires his boys...then he can get some more credit......Otherwise we will settle for 2nd or 3rd in the ACC

No ****t Sherlock. Thats the changes just about everyone here wants to see In The Offseason. Cant fire these guys mid-season and get a respectable coach in return.

Hey Einstein......those guys didnt just get here this year.....its been an ongoing problem....Just like the CB and LB roster. LBs have got worse every year since dIAZ showed up. And we all know the issue with CBs(lack thereof)

Maybe he seems that way because we haven't seen it in a while. You see a lot of QBs that can run but what has impressed me the most is his mental toughness. That's badly needed with this team. Watching the NC ST game, I had no doubt he was going to go down the field and get the go ahead TD. I don't know how long it's been since I've felt that confident about a UM QB.

Please tell me what game they lose with DJ at QB?
Didnt they lose to ND with DJ at QB or did I miss something

If you really expected Manny Diaz to fire both his offensive and defensive staffs after 1 season of being a headcoach then I dont know how you could possibly think any coordinator would ever come here. I feel like you're just trying to make some point, any point. But its not possible for Manny to fire everybody at once and bring in any coordinator worth a **** after cleaning house like that.
