Jaquan is not in Bennie’s classSean Taylor at ST means Reed and Jaquan at Safety, Morgan and Vilma at LB for me... so its Beason or Jaquan for me.... hmm.....

We played a 4-3 for the era that gave us this discussion. I see no reason to engineer a different outcome for one guy. But that aside, who would you omit? We have a 4x all pro, 5x pro bowler in jessie armstead and no one even mentions him in this thread. Lewis is the GOAT. Morgan the most decorated cfb lb. And Barrow who represented the best Lb group in the history of cfb, and lead the title team D back when.Take out a LB and play Sean at Striker
LMAO @ Jaquan. Blades aside, have you heard of darryl williams?Sean Taylor at ST means Reed and Jaquan at Safety, Morgan and Vilma at LB for me... so its Beason or Jaquan for me.... hmm.....
You sir are correct, Daryl Williams was an all time great safety at UM and also better than JaquanLMAO @ Jaquan. Blades aside, have you heard of darryl williams?
And no lewis at LB? The best defensive player in the history of football has a spot on our starting 11.
Never saw Darryl or Ray with my own eyes.LMAO @ Jaquan. Blades aside, have you heard of darryl williams?

Never saw Bennie...Jaquan is not in Bennie’s class
That is fair.Never saw Darryl or Ray with my own eyes.
I mean of course I put Ray on the all time squad, but I never saw him. Ive seen his highlights and stuff, and I probably saw him as a kid on tv when my dad was watching... (I vaguely remember Russell Maryland) but I didnt start watching and following the Canes until around your time on the Canes Mr. Sands. That is fair.
Shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath...Jaquan is not in Bennie’s class
I’ve seen them all. Bennie was a beast.Never saw Bennie...
Top Safeties for me are probably...
- Sean Taylor 1) Ed Reed
- Jaquan Johnson
- Kenny Phillips
- Brandon Merriweather
- Deon Bush

I put Taylor over Blades but if someone disagrees, i respect that.
How can you leave dan morgan off this list?Jessie is a OLB in mine.
Vilma
Lewis
Armistead

kosar, testaverde the list of qbs that howard got to miami was just wow. after them we had torretta Erickson and walsh also so qb been a deep group. sad thing is its been a wasteland post dorseyKosar, not Dorsey. Kosar was Miami swag before the term existed. And he was a way better QB.

Vilma played inside at UM. And Darrin Smith was better as an OLB at UM than Armstead (armstead had a serious injury interfere with his UM career). D. Smith was also that fastest of all of them. Maybe the fasted Lb ever at UM.As stated previously, hes a great MLB, but Vilma and Armistead are better OLB's because of their speed.
Danny Miller (L)....Flea Davis (R)...I took this Pic of them in 1981
