“ Mario Cristobal is already big-time moves on the recruiting trail.

His first official visit weekend began on Friday and InsideTheU learned that Bradenton IMG Academy Top247 tight end Jaleel Skinner, an Alabama commit, is a part of the group spending the weekend in South Florida. The nation's No. 4 tight end took previously took an official visit to Miami over the summer, but a return trip is allowed based on an NCAA rule that allows schools to bring guys back following a head coaching change.

The 6-foot-5, 210-pounder, who previously committed to the Crimson Tide over Miami, Texas, Florida, and Clemson, arrived in Miami late Friday night with his family.

Skinner coming down to UM is a major development in this recruitment. The lanky pass-catcher has made it known on his social media accounts in the past that Miami finished second behind the Tide, and with Nick Saban holding commitments from two other players at the position in Lakewood (Fla.) Top247 athlete Amari Niblack, who is expected to play tight end, and Dayton (Ohio) Wayne four-star Elijah Brown.

It's currently unclear what this visit means in terms of his commitment to Alabama, but Saban typically does not like his players taking other visits while verbally committed.

Skinner is expected to sign on Wednesday during the first day of the Early Signing Period and enroll in January.”
