**Official Thread for The Recruits That Got Away**

Teddy had a guy wide open for a 70 yard TD and he missed him. Would have been the dagger in the heart and game over.

Next play, UL fumbles. UCF goes on to score and we got a ballgame.

Teddy Choked

So many try to downplay it when we lose out on a recruit. "Oh well, we'll be ok". Yea we are 6-0, but losing out on that top talent still prolongs our chances for a N.C. run. For us to be back to the championship level, we have to land the Sammy Watkins, Alex Collins, Dalvin Cook's out there. Every year we talk about the other players we get, and say we're fine. F that. I don't want us to be fine, I want us to be great. I love Al and think our staff recruits as hard as anybody, so this is not a bash on our staff at all. This is to the posters that always try to downplay it when we miss out on a top talent.

To play devil's advocate, we're not going to get every single recruit out there. There are a lot of recruits, a lot of good recruits, and a lot of good schools that recruit this area. We shouldn't be losing a guy like Collins to Arkansas, but when we lose a Florida kid to Florida or FSU, it sucks, but it's at least understandable.

That's a lot of mouths to feed though, especially at rb, wr, ect.

lol you all have an excuse for everything..... why you hate Stephen Morris but crown Teddy Bridgewater lol it's pathetic.

UNC played it's SuperBowl against Miami, Stephen Morris played the woat game of his entire career, on the road, on a bum ankle and still came from behind and won the game.

Fully healthy Teddy had a 28-7 lead, at home, and choked.... THE END.

Morris had nothing to do with our win on Thursday night. Literally nothing.

The only way you are keeping those three aforementioned is if u pay them more than what they were offered by the schools they chose.

That is simply wrong, he played like a dog, but he came through in the clutch, that's more than nothing.

sometimes its as simple as some kids like to go away for college. same way a lot of normal students want to go away for college. get over it, we aren't getting every recruit, no school does, and these kids aren't indentured servants and obligated to stay in Miami just to play for your entertainment.

I thank the ones that stay here but I'm not going to hate the ones that go or our coaches for not handcuffing them to coral gables.

on the other hand, I couldn't give a **** about what they are doing elseware..

Alabama can't even keep all of its best players in the State. FSU and Auburn both get a ton of guys that Alabama wants.

With South Florida, you can't get everybody and even if you did, there would be a dozen players a class that we didn't recruit that will end up to be ballers. Its about getting the best players you can, making good evals, and building them in the program and thats what is happening in our program. It was always going to be a process. 6-0 dont mean ****, we have a ton of work to get to where this program belongs and we arent there yet. But you can't blame any of that on our Staff not recruiting their tails off, amidst the NCAA BS and a Decade of irrelevance with no recent success to sell prospects.

I am absolutely not one of those who cries over the fact that TB went to Louisville, nor am I one that wishes we had him instead of Morris. I'm also one of the few that will defend Morris, though not to the extent that Zone is, but come on man. Zone, seriously? Blaming TB for Louisville losing last night? Saying he choked? Did you watch the game? Morris threw 4 picks and you could say Miami won in spite of his play. On the flip side, UCF won in spite of TB's play. TB was 29-38 for 341 yards and 2 TD and 0 INT. He drove them for what would have been the winning TD if UL's defense was any good. UL lost because they gave up 38 points. They put up 35. How did he choke? He has 22 TD and 2 INT this year. Against any competition, that's impressive.

Very well said. The bottom line is Morris did not play well and he really hasn't turned that next step as a QB. Our team is far too talented to make that many mistakes. I will root for this team no matter what, I just want the guy who gives us the best chance for a win behind center.

Alex Collins is overrated..... nobody missed on him, it's a blessing we didnt get him. He's really not that good.

Zone you keep saying he blew a 28-7 lead... UCF came down & scored a TD after Louisville went up 28-7 (making it 28-14). Teddy's fault huh. Louisville gets the ball back & the RB fumbles it inside their 20 right away.. UCF punches it in to make it 28-21. So basically, he blew a 1 TD lead at some point during the 4th quarter.. only to march his team all the way down the field (by throwing it I might add) to score the go ahead TD with under 3 minutes to go in the game.. Probably his fault the D let UCF come back down & win the game. What a loser, huh?

Louisiville lost b/c Teddy choked regardless..... the RB fumbled during 1 possession. Louisville was up 28-7 w/ 7:00 left in the 3rd, they didnt score again until the 3:00 mark in the 4th. That's on him, he's the QB, what is everybody talking about???

You all will make excuses for anything when it comes to Teddy Bear... he didnt get it done PERIOD. I know Stephen Morris would never choke away a 28-7 lead regardless if the Defense was starting to give up late TDs to the other team. Guess what.... Stephen Morris would've just went back down the field and kept scoring until they won the game, choking away a 21 point lead, and you all are saying it's not Teddy's fault??? lol gtfoh

Most of the last night I thought you were trolling.. Come to find out, you are actually retarded.
