Exactly. From the day we hired Golden everybody with half a brain knew if the PSU job opened up that it was a probability he would want the job and a possibility he'd end up there.
 
if golden was staying IMO with all the chatter around and between the recruits you think he would have made a statement about him staying. If he had any intentions of staying he would be concerned with the results of this class.

The PSU HC opening and the obvious discontent/concern among the fans, players, and pretty much any one associated with the program I think made his mind up for him. The problem he will run into is that if PSU doesn't offer him/hire him with his silence and refusal to silence or quiet the rumor mill he lost the team and fans. He shows his true colors.... I remember his "Are you kidding me" This is Miami this is a destination job" as we all do. Never trust a car salesman. Never trust anyone that is so hard lined that they refuse to try to correct problems when there are glaring mistakes being made. Donofrio and him can take their carpetbags back North with them.

In the last 8 years of Miami football i have witnessed more embarrassing nation losses then i have in all my 32+ years of being a cane fan combined. The only thing i am grateful for with Golden is how he handled Shapirogate way better then shannon would have. Other then that...... mehhhhhhh

Plenty of dudes in this thread are acting like Golden is somehow betraying UM with this move.

Honestly this **** is getting ridiculous. Something has to give. Too many variables though.

It isn't a betrayal thing its being a stand up person. Golden always tried to come across and portray himself as a honest straight forward person. Well...... His behavior right now isn't exactly coming across that way.

I don't think most on this board would mind AG coming back if he said He's getting rid of D'nofrio.

I think that's the main reason we kinda want him to go.

Oh and going silent for 2 days dont help either

I would say 160+ pages you can find some. People are acting like he is a traitor or has been doing nothing but getting paid till PSU job came open. I dont think he is a great coach but glad he was here and did a good job with all the crap here but knew he wouldnt stay if PSU job was open

Not really, most of us don't give a **** if he leaves, we just want him to just ******* do it so we can move on.

Q: What color is the sky in YOUR world? We struck "Gold" with Al Golden? Are you friggin serious?

Please list for me the illustrious accomplishments Al Golden & company have delivered for us? Did you watch any game in the 2nd half of the season? Did you actually see how poorly prepared our team was (with 5 weeks to prep) for the bowl game? Al and his staff were completely outcoached, ineffectual, and embarrassed by Louisville.

I honestly don't understand what passes for "greatness" in some people's minds. This program is circling the bowl with this guy and his blind loyalty to his best friend and DC (at the expense of the program) whose defense has ranked 100+ out 120 Div I teams 2 years running... look at the body of work. This guy is anything but "gold" pal. Wake up.
