The coach who has the biggest impact on Valentine is Hurlie Brown. If Brown is retained, I think Valentine would stick.

When did butch become sacrosanct? Before or after he left. I have no issues if he's the guy but let's stop hero worship n he has flaws. Half the people praising him now contributed to the plane, either financially or in spirit.

I understand the "lynch mob" mentality here on the board, especially with D'.... still at the helm of our D.
But, what if Golden stays? He has put a very nice class together this year. Pulled some great surprises the last couple of years with recruits. I know there has been a lot of talk about talent, scheme, etc. With the talent that is coming in and what we have now, do you think winning the "big" games are that far off?
I'm sure I'm going to get a lot of negs, I'm not a Golden slurped. Just want to stir conversation about Al staying here....

At this point, Golden leaving would be best for all parties involved - regardless of whether he coaches at PSU or not. Does Miami (or any program) really want a coach that's interviewing for other jobs? That sends a horrible message. We need a coach that's all in.
