I would feel better about this if I felt confident that the administration would make a great hire and commit all available resources to making it the top priority...however past experience dictates that we will somehow bungle it so I am left to be worried and nervous. Petrino would be a freaking awesome hire...however I just can't see the admin putting themselves out there for that much perceived risk. I don't know how to feel about Chud. I want Narduzzi's defense but he has no experience leading a program...Franklin seems like he would be a home run but who knows...

If the admin makes the right hire then this is a net positive. However I just have no confidence in them.

Al. Must. Go.

I'm at the point where my thoughts of finally having a real football coach like Olive Garden are going to put me in the looney bin if PUS rejects that fat fck and he comes waddling back into town like nothing happened.

I don't know if he stays or goes. But all I ask is for Alfred James Golden to make a decision today. It's hurting our recruiting and our assistants by keeping everyone in the dark. At this point if he is still unsure if he wants to be at Miami, then he shouldn't be here. I want a coach who would die to coach here.

All the guy did down here was eat on Donna's nickel. He's probably stuffing his face right now.

Wrong. He managed a crisis. He didn't knock the cover off the ball by any stretch, but this is a FAR better job now than when he took over and he's the main reason for that. If he leaves, I think we'll be fine and should thank him for his work here. It could've been a real **** show over the last few years.

You mean losing to Top 25 teams by an average of more than 30 points during his tenure and fielding record setting , historically awful defenses isn't a **** show? Thank him for his handling of the NCAA mess, but he gets an F+ for his corching.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I think it was pretty bad, but to say he did nothing here is just wrong. Given what he inherited in terms of roster, including the 6-8 guys that left early for no reason, and the NCAA mess, I think a top coach might've won 2-3 games...maybe. Perhaps some of those big loses would've been close losses, but I don't get much out of moral victories.

In fact, change that, a top coach would've bolted and then what've you got? A program you'd have a tough time getting anyone to lead. He took the bullet and we're FAR better positioned to get a really solid coach now because of it. (I don't think we get a top coach on our budget btw, people come here to BECOME top coaches).

Please be Kehoe please be Kehoe please be Kehoe

The most consistent area of our team this year was OL and the best recruiting haul this year is OL and mainly because of him…yet you want him gone?

and as proven before, unlike Mario the traitor…He Loves the U and will go nowhere else if given the opportunity to stay

His unit gets humiliated and destroyed every time they play a good defensive front.

Oh, he's gone. If you've watched college ball or even remotely keep up with it, this movie has played 1000 times. When you get rejected, you send the "I'm flattered but I'm happy where I'm at" news release or press conference. When they leave, it's silent and quiet till the contract is signed. Question is.... Butch, Petrino, Schiano, or Chud? Is Blake working the phones and for how long?

If Al will bring another "Deserve Victory" binder....but with Penn St colors this time around.

Give me #1 Butch #2 Franklin

**** you Al.....take your fat *** best friend and his Pop Warner defense.
Al, you'll be nothing but a recruiting coordinator for Rutgers in 5 years after a few mediocre seasons with a crappy *** defense.

Pressure on Morris was never an issue not even against good comp, his decision making was. That idiot has zero pocket presence and no clue what a check down is…your QB looking for the deep rout every other down isn't easy on an OL and they still did a good job of protecting him

And as far as run blocking is concerned, they did a good job when they had a real RB behind them….

If Golden takes Jethro, Paul, and D with him….i wouldn't me mad at all

Its going to be funny when Golden issues a statement that he's staying. It'll happen by tomorrow.

I put this at 50 50 possibility.

He also better announce that an entire new defense staff has been hired. And that he was kidnapped by Iranian terrorists who held him hostage, right before being hit by a bus and suffering short term amnesia, and all this after dropping his cell phone in the toilet while on the way to Radio Shack to replace it.

Only reason I will accept to explain three days of silence.

Dude...the "NCAA cloud" and "talent" excuses are really old by now. A good/great coach like Butch or Petrino would have never played AJ, Cornelius, Rodgers, etc. They would have rolled with the more talented kids, even if they were inexperienced. We had more than enough young talent to have looked better than we did this year and last.
