The point of hiring a firm is to find the best candidate to offer because they have serious interest, so not hiring the first 3 means that the firm did not do a good job of vetting candidates or they couldn't seal the deal.. Besides, and stay with me here if you can, you're missing the point, it being that this organization has not shown a sense of urgency to hire in the past. What makes anyone believe that if Golden leaves, he will be replaced within a week?

2 things:
1) Golden thinks PSU is a top-level job? Why? PSU hasn't been relevant for while and won't be for years.

2) In what world do we "lose a lot after this season"??? Other than an underachieving QB and OL, what do we lose? MAYBE DP? Most of the talent is underclassmen.
