It wouldn't fall apart at all. Golden doesn't do the day to day recruiting anyway. Coley has a lot more contact with recruits than Golden does.

Sorry *** Larry Coker held Butch Davis's class together. Not only did he hold it together, but he added guys like Gore and Parrish. I think he also added Kellen Winslow II that year too after Butch split.

Dudes need to cut the melodrama. If Valentine leaves, then he was going to leave already anyway. There's been plenty of hints he was going to leave even if Golden stays. His relationship is with the great Hurlie Brown, not with B***.

AND let's not forget there's tons of guys out there we PASSED on, that the next coach might not.

Love the guy, but again hiring a coordinator directly from beng a coordinator is massively risky. We can't afford the risk, not at this school, not at this time. Yes he could be great.....Or he could be Muschamp. There's no way of knowing until you see if the guy can actually manage a team, and Miami is not a place for a coach to find out if he has those skills.

If he turns it down, it says a lot about him and his willingness to stick to something and I'd have confidence in this team improving year after year (even with that DISASTROUS finish).

According to ESPN Outside the Lines Munchak, Golden and Franklin are the candidates but they have not met with any of them according to PSU guys. Hopefully we'll know soon .

Give Bobby Olive Garden this current roster and a week to prepare, and he would have whipped anyone not named fsu on our schedule. I ain't worried about losing a couple guys because Golden probably would have lost a few anyway. Some of the current commits were pretty shaky before Golden decided not to stand with the U.
