Pretty clear Munchak knew when he turned down the Titans' proposal for staff changes that he had PSU already lined up, no?

As I mentioned to everyone get used to Golden being here.

That as speculative as all the Golden ****. Nothing is clear about any of it.

Nah were not because the way I see it with Golden flirting with another job and suddenly he doesn't get it that's means Blake should step in and say Coach D is gone or all of you are gone because of this.

If Golden gets the job then D goes as well.... either way D is going

Nah, Franklin goes pro because of the "rape thing", he should be radioactive with PSU, surprised they are even interviewing him, desperate times up in Happy Valley. Munchak is "a PSU guy" which makes the Joebots happy, but he has no college HC experience, is coming from the pros and might want to go back. PSU just went through that. right? Al is the guy, IMO, but he does have D' hanging around his neck. They're gonna have to figure that one out.

I agree wholeheartedly that we should leverage the $h** outta this, and Blake James should lay down the law (assuming Al doesn't get the PSU gig).

But do they have the brains--or the stones to actually do this? I'm hoping they see the inherent problems with his staff, but I don't feel confident that they'll be assertive or proactive enough to overrule Al, and make the necessary changes to save him from himself and his blind loyalty to his buddy.

I've been saying since 2 days ago that's what Blake SHOULD DO. But is their any guarantee? Are you telling me you CAN'T see a scenario where this inept UM administration does the stupid thing and not only welcomes Golden back but even agrees to retain Onfrio? Cause I can...I've come to expect the worst from them.

So let me pose a question....assume I'm right and Golden PLUS Onfrio are assured to come back....tell me how you're feeling now.

Are you ******* kidding me?? Golden is extended for the next decade with a monster buyout. You don't make threats with no ground to stand on. Once again it was a horrible decision by the administration to give that fat **** an extension like that. If he doesn't go Miami is stuck with this grease ball and ****ed in the process. **** it all if his *** isn't gone.

UM can fire No D if they want. Doesn't have anything to do with Golden and his contract. Sure it will strain relationships between Golden and UM but who cares at this point. Golden can accept it and stay or resign in which case UM doesn't owe him ****.

We've gone from visions of Petrino and the reintroduction of the shallow cross...the return to attacking the middle of the field and having a dynamic offense.....

To 250-260 pounds defensive ends once again being asked to back peddle and cover slot receivers.

Life isn't fair. If this thing goes full circle and our moronic administration doesn't force Golden to fire Onfrio.....I may be taking a break from UM football for a while

Maybe... maybe not. Munchak doesn't have a buyout--Golden does. Correct? I don't know the dollar amount and PSU may not care since they have deep pockets... just sayin'

Something just doesn't seem right about this whole thing...like taking a jump in the ol water hole after eating a bowl of mamma's chili

PSU kept the receipt, I think they're returning Al and Onfrio.

Long live De's dropping into coverage. We ****ed.

Munchak would be a disaster at PSU.

Guy has never coached a minute in college...never recruited....not happening.

Why in the f**k would Franklin want the PSU job?

No bowls for two more years....its a coaching death sentence....

Unless you are Al Golden and are trying to cover up your ineptness.

If Penn State still is interviewing other people, it's just a matter of following due process by checking out other candidates...

I still think Golden is their top choice. I seriously doubt Munchak gets the job, I think Penn State might have learned from the O'Brien situation, meaning that they will hire a college guy instead of an NFL guy.

PSU had good experiences with O'Brien. He was an NFL guy who exceeded expectations. Munchak would fit that mold and is a Paterno guy unlike O'Brien. I expect we will hear from Golden at the presser tomorrow unless it's postponed.
