The fact that AG hasn't accepted or taken the job at his alma mater shows that he is really torn. Give the guy a break. This is a tough decision for a guy who's not grown up rooting for the U. I respect and appreciate what he did the last 3 yrs. He's not perfect and neither are any of us. If I could get my way AG would stay and fire D'onofrio.

The fact it hasn't been announced could mean one of any dozen possible things-- but I have to believe if they flew down to meet and he's an alumnus whose openly expressed interest in the job, that its now just a formality and paperwork getting done. (Due diligence). And we can't discount that the fact that they want to talk to Franklin and/or Munchak.

With that said, He aint gonna zip his buddy D'Nofrio and even if he did, I don't think Al is the answer. If you look at how we finished the season, its pretty clear that he's in way over his head, and we're due for another 5 seasons of mediocrity as his contract plays out, and recruiting dries up based on poor on field performance. Its coker all over again. We need PSU to bail us out, so we can hire a real coach, who doesn't make excuses, and knows how to hire assistants who can game plan, and game day coach. This staff is an embarrassment and the fish rots from the head down. It is vital he leaves, NOW>

Larry Johnson is the PSU interim head coach, and he was their D coordinator, and PSU guy, so what's Al do with that and D'. D's not getting demoted....

Lets all take off our UM glasses and think about this with an open mind. If you where Goldens agent wouldn't you tell him to sit down and listen to PSU, it drives his stock up. He is making a business move. I would be more ****ed if he pulled the I'm the head coach of Miami and I'm not going anywhere just to turn around and leave a few days later. I do feel he needs to make a choice and get it over with. Put me on the Strong for coach train.
