Golden's assistants also hadn't been informed of his decision as of early afternoon. UM knows he has been considering his options.

It is just beginning!! But yea the days of 500yds a game are over.
 
Amazing what a couple weeks can do, I would have been crushed my this news before the bowl game, now I'm alright with it.

By the way, our basketball team is beating #2 Syracuse by 4 on the road with 13 minutes left. Coach L....that's my coach.

At least when Al leaves he won't have to worry about getting blown out in a bowl game again. Maybe he doesn't like the idea of bowl season and the extra 15 days of practice. Sucks for Penn State if they ever get eligible
 
It was discussed a few years back but many people felt that Golden's future here would be tied to Dorito. Now he hasn't been fired of course, but being one of those people that felt that way, the fact that he was going to keep that useless **** on his staff no matter what, makes this whole thing a no-brainer for me.

Enjoy your time at your alma mater Goldens. Thanks for helping us through some tough times and bringing in some good recruiting classes.

Now let someone else take over that has a clue.

You can inform players via phone. Gary Anderson called every Utah St player when he took the Wisconsin job. I'm sure Al isn't going to pretend to not take the job for 4 days to wait until they get back.

the defense played well to start the bowl, but probably got worn down with offense doing nothing. But larger point taken.
