Guys like Russell is one of the reasons Mario is recruiting nationally. Those SFLA divas ain’t worth it. Yes there are some good ones like Toney, Bain, Fitzgerald but guys like Russell just ain’t worth it.

I feel like our class is borderline elite, not quite elite but right on the cusp. Maybe 2/3 players from being elite, however I'm not complaining I love the class, it's a few players I look forward to seeing, I'm exited on what we're bringing in on the Oline, besides the obvious (Cantwell) I absolutely love Congdon, and Ervin. Wingo and Mueller are also very intriguing to me, I'm excited to see those guys, those are just a few I'm excited about. Go Canes!!

Common thread:
Bain - not a diva recruitment, he was between us and Bama and handled his business
Toney - weird one because of the reclassification but didn't seem to me to be a tremendous amount of game playing, reevaluated his options based on the reclass and then came back
Fitzgerald - committed in the summer and never wavered

Mario has, for all his flaws (and there are many), done a good job of weeding out the bad character guys. The closest thing we have to a South Florida diva recruitment on the current roster that I can think of is Blount, and that's another weird one because of the reclass.

Lyle and Fletcher were late flips, but again, not "commit to 4 schools and make them all sweat it until NSD" ****.

Closest thing in this class was Campbell, but he stayed committed for a long time.

i love that early signing day has significantly cut down on the shenanigans since the portal window follows fairly closely after.
