*** OFFICIAL ROOTING FOR THE OPPONENT THREAD ***

Jaquez Johnson - 23/34 263 yds 2 TDs 0 int, 20 carries 97 yds
Greg Howell - 22 carries 138 yds 2 TDs
Jay Warren - 14 carries 67 yards 1 TD
Jenson Stoshak - 7 rec 114 yds 1 TD

This seems like an adequately loaded ****nal of talent. Their opponent, Tulsa, finished 115th last year in total yardage. This has me a little worried, their great offensive production might be a mirage.

Friday night, home game, their fans are pumped and I think Al has our boys with a severely inflated ego. This could shape up quite nicely.

Schedule is such a ******* joke that its hard to even find a decent opponent to beat us...in a year where we need to lose.

With that said...let's go FAU.

Don't be like Ped State. Don't let the Canes ruin your day.

Firing Day is 83 away.

I was at this game. Have to say, that the Ped State student body = bunch of azzholes.

Each week the competition will ramp up a little. Unfortunately, we're probably not going to lose to FAU. So what I'm looking for is progress. Last week we won by 45. This week the goal is for a margin of victory that is less than that. Also, I want to see the defense give up some points. Let's make sure we're trending in the right direction as we head into the games that we really can lose.

That's a perfectly logical progression.

Let's also not forget the positive possibilities of season ending injuries. With the lack of depth at critical positions, even a loss to FAU is within reach.

Whatever it takes!

Let's go OWLS. You did it last week. You can do it this week.

Firing Day is 82 away.

This single game is often cited as our resurrection. Edgerin James was good for 299 yards.
We lost to McNabb's Syracuse 13-66, the previous week.

We had tickets to the original scheduled date, but Hurricane George did it in.

God I hope the owls can at least keep it close. I want to plant some seeds of doubt in our players minds. I want them ready to crumble at the first sign of adversity when they start playing real teams.

I want Al Golden to lose. I want him to lose every game, every series, every down. I want him to lose every facet of every game. Lose the coin toss. Lose his headset. Lose control of his bladder.

Guys, we got a real shot here. A loss to FAU would be unsurvivable. Let's talk about what the owls need to do in the second half to send that fat ****** back to New Jersey.

1. Keep the pressure on Kaaya. He looks out of sync and we've been hitting him all night. Don't get conservative, keep up the heat!
2. Attack the miami dlineman in pass coverage. I've seen a couple wheel routes and some success to the slot guy.
3. Keep up the pace! Miami can't get set on defense. In addition, Miami is a team that has been fattened up all offseason by the Al Golden weight gain training regimen. These guys will be gassed if the Owls can keep the pedal down.

Hoot!!!!
