7pm on ESPNU. Canes looking for a strong showing at home coming off an underwhelming Advocare Invitational performance. Join us here and on Twitter as always @HardwoodU
They still have Bishop?
I think this Newton PG experiment needs to end.

It's not an experiment. He's always been a PG. May not have a pass first mentality but he's definitely a PG. he's also the only one on the roster so not really other options this year

He is not a PG. You can call him a PG but he isn't one.
He has no feel for the offense, he can't pass the ball and he needs to play off the PG. The turnovers are awful and too common.
Newton is a bad option, try to get Brown and DJ more time especially during this chitty OOC schedule.
L will have no choice, he has to go with a PG by committee concept, because Quan isn't able to get it done. Even at Angel's worst, he wasn't this bad. Decent point guards know when to pull it back, and get quality looks, Quan throws balls away on passes that have a 1 in 50 chance to succeeding. It sucks that Manu didn't want to sit for a year, because he'd be a starter on this team. At least he has some idea what a bounce pass is.
Lykes will be a starter from day one, with Quan at the two. Frankly, I'd be happy with Quan coming off the bench as the instant offense guy.
