So far this is what we have from Manny, per Hurricane Sports:

"Miami is home. The University of Miami is home. The U has truly been 'the job' for me since I first got into coaching," said Diaz. "Having worked here over the past three years, I came to understand what it means to be part of 'The U' and came to appreciate the passion and commitment to excellence of all who proudly call themselves Canes. We will restore the football program to its place among the nation's elite and we will do it with hard work, dedicated coaches, and outstanding student-athletes. I'm excited about working with Blake and his team to make that happen."

If we hire a top OC with autonomy to reshape our philosophy on that side of the ball, while Manny focuses on maintaining the D, it's an A+ hire.

If we don't do so, and if Jon/Brown/Searles are still kicking around, it's a F hire.

Nothing in between.

Manny could also fail if he isn't a capable CEO and recruiter. But I agree with the general gist of what your saying.

Go get Lane to run the offense...almost Co-HC type of deal. One great offensive mind, one great defensive mind. Searles and Richt Jr. need to be relieved of their duties. I would keep Hartley as tight ends but the rest could be sent packing. Thomas Brown is fine as a RB coach.

Spend some money and hire a real freakin' staff. Stop getting your *** kicked in recruiting and pushed around by power 5 conference teams. Best of luck to you.
If Manny wins the recruits will be calling him! We need someone to breath life into this dead program! Manny has proven to be able to do it with his defense! Now imagine if he’s able to get the offense moving in the right direction!! It can only go up from here!
