I did that recently. I type a message, I click submit and it looks like it gets sent...but nothing happens.

I've witnessed a lot of episodes of "When Mods Think They're Funny". They all end in power trips, selective moderation, massive bannings, and ultimately, said Mod moving to Bolivia.
