I'm seeing a MAC trend where the coaches are playing super conservative on both sides of the ball.
On offense they would much rather methodically drive 80 yards in 8 minutes than score on a big play. This gives their defenses time to rest.
On defense they are more than willing to accommodate the above, playing soft zones and tackling everything in front of them.
If you hit an over, the offenses were efficient in the red zone. If its under, they weren't. Last night the refs took 8 points off the board, the difference in a win or a loss.
I'm done this year with MAC totals because of all of the above. After the crazy games last year it's almost like the coaches put their minds together to see what they could do to return to normalcy.
