Regarding Dawson being on that list. If Mario is truly building what we hope for then this is a place Dawson says I'll pass on that because I can do better. Sabans coordinators would wait for top jobs because they knew that they would get offers eventually. Hoping Dawson stays forever but I bet he leaves to a better offer than VT down the line

They'd have to make him some guarantees. He won't accept the job if they don't show proof of backing.

Virginia Tech reaching out to try to Shane Beamer would be a huge mistake. Think you’re gonna get some magic from his old man, but you’re not. The program needs to restart from the ground up. Temper their expectations and hire a good coach with a proven record, even if it’s a G5 level school. Not one of these coaches that’s a glorified coordinator, like Golesh, but a program builder.

Bob chesney at JMU? Has won everywhere he’s been. Coaching in the state now but was Holy Cross coach for a bit.

UCLA: Eric Morris

Both programs have to figure out the offense and get an identity.

VT: Jimbo, Fitzgerald, Vick, Bob Chesney, Dan Mullen, Beamer if USCjr wants to run him off by the end of the year
UCLA: Mullen, GJ Kinne, Kliff Kingsbury
