OFFENSIVE STAFF UPDATE

Lol our fans overhype our coaches/players so much. I like Kevin Beard, likes him as a player and think he has a decent future in coaching. But he's shown nothing to justify him as being kept over McClendon. McClendon has put out multiple NFL studs or soon to be studs at the RB position. And it's not like our wide receivers were anything to write home about this year.

Losing both will HURT Miami's connection with the local community BIG TIME. None of the UGA's have connections with the south Florida community. Not to mention as I have said on several occasions those UGA assistants have had the benefit of the UGA Bagman to help land recruits.

Recruiting in South Florida without the $EC money, means you need to have a good eye for talent and also have the local connections to help develop the relationships. I

An yes Kevin Beard has down wonders with the WR's in his first year working with the kids. Keep in mind the WR's were pigeon hold by bad play calling and borderline negligent route tree schematics.

Go Canes

Are we seriously comparing Beard and Harris to McClendon? My we have seriously fallen as a program. His resume' would eat theirs for a afternoon snack. Its not even close.

Shut up moron.

If they were able to come down here and get Geno Atkins, Sony Michel, Shaquery Wilson and Isaiah Mckenzie, i'm sure they will be fine as a staff.

Yeah but he's not a former cane bro.

The only way we'll be back is with an all cane staff.

We need to get rid of that mentality.....he isn't a Cane....he doesn't have ties to the community.....the last few coaches had that and were utter failures....

So...we are saying that McClendon should get the WR coaching job over Kevin Beard, based off of the RB's he's worked with. Nice

hey lets all practice throwing **** on the wall..then whatever sticks can make us look like insiders

There is nothing in his resume' that justifies his return. Personally speaking, im thinking McClendon goes back to coaching running back and we will have a new recievers coach

Al Golden had none of that and was even worse...your point?

Just because they played here, doesn't mean they will be a good coach here...gotta expand the horizons

I'm just saying...a good coach will be a good coach....But if you find a good coach who has ties to the program, then he will be more passionate about bettering the team, and therefore should make a better candidate.

Scenario 1: Butch Davis is HC and hiring an OC...would I pick Rob Chud or Hue Jackson? Hue Jackson is the better OC this year and Chud hates recruiting, ofcourse Hue would be the shoe-in decision...
Now if you turn that around and say if you want Les Miles or Mark Richt as a HC...I'm **** sure choosing Richt.

While its nice to have, its not a necessity for coaching. Just give me good coaching. If they have ties, great, but I want the best coaches available regardless of what program they are from.
