Offensive Staff under Lashlee

Just read the posts about Enos from last year. "He uses motion!" "He will being our offense into the 21st century!" "Our players will be Highschool open!" "He just has to be slightly better than the last guy and we will win 10 games!"

FFS...

WHO. THE. FVCK. CARES. ???

If the only change we make this offseason is hiring an OC and letting him bring in 2-3 new position coaches, we may as well fold the program for a few years, and come back and start from scratch, if the powers that be ever decide to get serious.

We just went 6-7 with three straight losses to D2 level opponents. Does anyone really buy that 2-3 assistant coaches are going to 180 that? For fvcks sake, we should be able to beat FIU with 4 plays.

Fvck any of you all that are giving Flake and Mandy the cover that you are in pretending that any of this **** matters. It's all just a distraction to buy time and collect/steal more money from UM while driving the football program into the grave. If you don't want to hear it from me, listen to the latest Wide Right pod by Manny Navarro and Kelvin Harris.

Get it through your ******* thick skulls. Without drastic changes in administrative/coaching personnel and priorities, this football program is D E A D, dead.

Serenity now...

It’s just a conversation my man, there’s countless other threads that talk endlessly about what you just posted. Feel free to carry on with that conversation in one of those threads since this isn’t a topic you care to discuss.

I know we are still a ways out from a OC hire being announced, and seeing how Lashlee’s name has been leaked, he probably won’t end up being the hire. None the less, this is the first name being reported that interviewed for the position so I wanted to discuss what the staff would potentially look like on the offensive side of the ball if he is hired.

Does anyone have any insight in the guys he has worked with or has connections to that he could potentially bring in with him as part of his staff? Any guesses at a mock staff with Lashlee at OC?
So you brig nothing to the discussion you want to discuss, other than say "I want to discuss something, so everyone else provide the facts."

It was an open discussion to see if anyone had any info or opinions, I never said I had any breaking news. It was something I was thinking about and wanted to see if anyone had any insight. In my opinion a topic like this is a better discussion than the overwhelming amount of doom and gloom threads about the same thing where everyone just wallows in their sorrow together.

However, if it makes you feel better, I did look in to the SMU staff and all of the offensive staff seems to be hired by the HC without any previous ties to Lashlee. So, I was stumped after that and decided to bring it up for conversation.

A couple of things.

1) there's a lot of space between cutting corners and paying more than 600k for a WR caoch. Craig is the highest paid WR coach in the country.

2) they (A&M) ain't paying Craig that much to coach WR's if you get my drift.
Who is Miami's Craig equivalent? Is it supposed to be Patke?

It's not a different topic. It's the same one. You can keep on carrying on and pretending that Flake and Mandy are going to lead us to the promised land (all we need is an offense, bro), but it is beyond idiotic to do so. Same subject, same topic, same discussion. Having the same people who put a 6-7 product on the field go out and hire an assistant coach from the AAC is not going to turn this listing ship back around.

I’ve never said anything about trusting our current staff to bring us to the next level, but I’m certainly not going to ***** and moan about it all day to anybody that will listen.

OK, bro. Just keep sending those checks to Flake and Jennn. Cause any cover provided to them is exactly that. As you were, you may now continue rearranging your deck chairs.

I’m not providing cover or defending them, I’m simply just starting a conversation about a different topic.... what the fvck are you talking about?

yeah. not really saying him, specifically, but in general, the entire BOT of billionaires who have the funds to create a bag foundation so we dont have to depend on a ponzi schemer
I mean there's bigger things than football for then to really care about that. For example, the Medical program for a fact is a priority for those guys. And this is not a bad thing at all but for real it's annoying to know that there are a plethora of big money guys in the program outside of football.

i know that, btu they can spare a 100k for a ps2. also, im only half kidding. i know the school and the BOT as a whole shouldnt jsut focus on football solely. the med program is absolutely huge for them and is their number 1

No prior connection with Lashlee, but someone like Marcus Johnson may be a good fit.
He was on Moorhead's MSU staff but before this gig he played and coached under Cutcliffe at Ole Miss and Duke, respectively.
Also played in the NFL and had co-OP responsibilities at Duke.

definitely got sucked in but more sober minds looked at his past offenses and when you look at it he has never had a top 10, top 20, or even top 30 offense. The track record suggested very mediocre production. He was coming off of the hype working with Tua and Hurts.

Looking at what Lashlee has accomplished it is night and day from Enos. There are never guarantees, of course. But I see it as a different situation from last year. Lash lees is the guy Diaz really wanted and was bamboozled by the Enos hype like some of use were.
