Offensive Line

You see pff grade from uva? That’s far from below average.
Problem is he was thrown into the fire last year and played so bad people cat see how much he actually has improved. This should be his first games and us seeing him. Would be a completely different view of him if it wasn’t for last year.

Go back and look at the sequence inside the 10 for the last TD.

Watch the lack of complete push, and drive, by these bum OL

Watch the TD run and see where Williams gets pushed so far into the backfield that he is able to push the ball carrier, from behind, into the end zone.

It’s a **** show.

They are better than last year and its noticeable too. Also take into fact justice had a shortened offseason coaching due to covid he seem to know what he is doing and has made changes when he sees who is playing well and who's not look at traore campbell. He shows u what he means u dont perform u dont play and look at Zion nelson he looks light years better

Its not even low key any more. Its quite obvious. Hes not a guard. He doesnt have the strength to move people at guard. But he is pidgeonholed there due to height. Gaynor is weak and small...Clark is a center playing guard as well. And their you have our interior...where we are running 100% of our running plays. We dont have a chance with any team with strong dts or lbs worth a sh*t.

Honestly John Campbell or Zion really should be the guards...and next season Navaughn Donaldson no matter how fat will take one of those guys spots.
I think Zion can play right tackle pretty well. Campbell needs to be lg he played it pretty well last year. I hope next years line goes. Issaiah walker(at lt if in shape only guys that has athleticism for it imo) maybe chris washington he is a smooth athlete also. campbell(lg) clark(c) Donaldson(rg) and either scaife or nelson at rt

We need better talent on the OL. Much better talent. That should be the #1 focus in Recruiting (together with QBs).

Given that our WRs don't scare anyone, most opponents will stack the box to take away the run (so that is compounding the fact that our OL just isn't that talented).

The OL is better in pass pro than last year.

Run blocking is very poor right now (and isn't helped by #2 above). Hard to win that battle when the numbers are heavily stacked against you.

Need to get more production out of the WR position (and maximize use of our TEs) to take the pressure off the OL. WRs gotta step up for this team to make progress.

Always wanted Reed to get a shot at either guard spot he’s the perfect mauling road grading type guard big a strong never understood why he never got a shot
