Only if one was paying attentionPardon me, but doesn’t it already sort of look that way?
Maybe reed stinks. Obviously he can’t beat out freshmen
I’ve had this same view of the oline tbh. I feel you on that. But i did think Campbell(high 3star we fought off good programs for) and hillery were solid Line prospects and would be the first options b4 ..then u have reed a 4star..I’m not tryna to ride the hype that’s why I’m worried about starting a true freshman who most thought was a surefire RS bothers me..we have no LT that’s our main problem imo since flowers..KC was solid, but after that it’s been a **** showLeap frogs who lol? Campbell and Hillary were mid/low level three stars who had 0 field experience, that's not much of a leap. Reed was a borderline 4 star with 0 field experience.
It's was pretty clear to see beyond the preseason hype we only had 2-3 OL we could truly count on.
Maybe they went a little hard on the Zion "sell" but again what's the alternative lol? We have LITERALLY no OT's. They were clearly trying to build confidence in the kid. Notice you did not see a similar hype train for Campbell.
We're 4 classes away from a full OL rebuild. Next year we're just adding more freshmen plugged directly into the 2 deep. Don't buy the hype. The OL will hold this team back for a while.
From **** to bull**** it seemsswitched to what?
See Zion week 0, he gave up the most sacks and pressures. Ultimately just disrupted plays with his lack of blocking. Campbell did too but to a lesser extent imo , he had some terrible penalties thoughYou can't play worse than Campbell did in week 0. Not sure if that's been discussed.

I’m sorry but This isn’t factual. Zion was abused , 3 sacks given up midway through the second quarter and had multiple pressures and sacks after that especially on those final 2 drives. Neither of the 2 played winning football. You can deal with 1 struggling tackle but not 2 as your bookends on the line. Can’t run much of an offense like that. Now zion is a true freshman and I do Agree with the premise that we should have done a few different things in terms of aiding him in blocking vs uf more though. Regardless of the fact duke who played bama(has more talented edge rushers) started two freshman tackles(one was a true freshman) and they fared much better than ours pair vs Uf. They need to improve quick, fast and in a hurry1.) Zion did not give up the most pressures wk 1-Campbell did.
2.) Most of the sacks that Zion "gave up" were not all his fault.
3.) By and large he graded out much better than Campbell-that's a fact. Not only that..he's a TRUE FRESHMEN, and his ceiling as well as well as his ability to improve from wk to wk, is much higher than Campbell. Take into account all of these factors, and its pretty easy to understand why Zion retained his starting LT position. Even a dummy could understand that
No and it shouldn't! Why change now when it's only been one game and you've had two weeks to improve? A change now will look like the staff didn't know what they were doing against uf
No... it was the first game and on the road and against a solid d-line and a week earlier than normal. It was only 5 sacks and of those 5 they weren't all on the tackles.Pardon me, but doesn’t it already sort of look that way?
Let em get their feet wetAs opposed to old coaching staffs trying the same failed **** every year? You don't know what you really have till the bullets fly period.
