Offensive Line Change?

As opposed to old coaching staffs trying the same failed **** every year? You don't know what you really have till the bullets fly period.
I’d say the old staffs made panic moves also..if this is a confirmed move, too me it’s a bit of a panic move. Reshuffling to add another true freshman in is a head scratcher too me. Especially on the line. We saw what Zion looked like on the road against grown *** young men. Now your asking a true freshman to be ready to block 55 (strawbidge) on UNC who will be in the the league..witht that all that said Diaz n co forgot more football then I know so we’ll see what happens..but on face value idk

Scaife isnt playing tackle unless campbell struggles more. Diaz already said they gave scaife and donaldson reps at tackle in camp and feel they both are good at guard.

We are looking at on the job training for our offensive staff here. Clearly they should have known who to start where before the season but here we are.

Replacing a RS Freshmen with a Freshmen doesn't scream panic move to me especially when you consider it's unlikely that this staff would've recruited Campbell to play OT here in the first place. They've been dealt a horrendous hand and are trying to make it work. What's more concerning to me was the Tommy Kennedy eval. He was downgraded to a tropical depression as soon as he hit campus.

To me it does when u have a depth chart released and the true freshman leap frogs two guys..at a whole new position..Campbell was not seen as sum scrub recruit. Neither was reed or hillery..soo yeah either the depth chart was BS..or whatever “plan” the coaches had for the oline is completely thrown out the window, after 1 week. If it’s that then I’m more concerned since this oline combination was mainly established since the beginning of fall camp aside from the right tackle spot which was a 2 man battle in Campbell and Kai..you can’t sell that Zion is ready then have him look as bad as he did along with Campbell, then say it’s youth they’ll get better, then say **** it we have this true freshman we’ll put him at a new position, scrap the depth chart, and roll with. Like I always say tho coaches are there everyday so I’ll defer to them. But this had me scratching my head..leave baby chris griffin out of this🤣🤣

Leap frogs who lol? Campbell and Hillary were mid/low level three stars who had 0 field experience, that's not much of a leap. Reed was a borderline 4 star with 0 field experience.

It's was pretty clear to see beyond the preseason hype we only had 2-3 OL we could truly count on.

Maybe they went a little hard on the Zion "sell" but again what's the alternative lol? We have LITERALLY no OT's. They were clearly trying to build confidence in the kid. Notice you did not see a similar hype train for Campbell.

We're 4 classes away from a full OL rebuild. Next year we're just adding more freshmen plugged directly into the 2 deep. Don't buy the hype. The OL will hold this team back for a while.
