They knew we’d shoot gaps and their OL froze to let guys pass. We’ve never even attempted that. There’s never been a bigger display of being out coached than this game.
How many easy balls would King have had if we played two TE sets on the LOS all game. We could’ve mixed it up having them block, run routes, and switching it up. Venerial’s would’ve stopped blitzing immediately and it would’ve opened the run game.

You're exactly right, they attacked the short edge all night. Double te inline would have completely changed the way they could attack.

We still had the rbs against their lbs. No wheel, or arrow route with the Rooster after Brevin takes the coverage out of the picture. There were plenty of ways to attack without even throwing the wrs the ball 1 time.
 
Watching Kings highlights from Houston he seemed to hit on plenty of deep balls. Of course those are highlights, but still. It almost seems like he's trying to throw too perfect of a pass instead of just letting it fly. like others have said we just don't have the WRs. Pope and Harley both too small get bullied too easily and don't have the technique, speed, or hands to mask their lack of size.

We didn’t have a match up that could win. We talked it up on the board a lot but Venables showed you the truth, lashlee saw it too. His track record is proven. When the offense looks like THAT it’s because he knows he doesn’t have the horses
