I think what is evident is that the entire college sports world has witnessed what Ruiz has accomplished in the NIL realm very publicly and without apology--even blatantly in-your-face at times--for over a year now, and after all the tweets, all the millions of dollars in NIL funds, all of the backlash, what the NCAA comes up with is an exchange of phone numbers for a negotiations dinner. What was once the tyrannosaurus Rex of the college sports world has become Barney the dinosaur wagging his pathetic little foam finger.
