It's about time somebody does some provocative music with meaning again! I saw him perform on SNL just last night and found it VERY intriguing.
Some of the comments here are head-scratchers, especially those that seem to assume that "white people" automatically dislike this video. Absurd assumptions like this only negate intelligent people of any race who appreciate what this artist is trying to do and say.
I think ALL of us who have experienced the power of "socially conscious" music welcome its bold return.
Popular music has gotten so stale, trite, and passionless in the past 5-10 years it barely registers on one's brain-waves! I was just listening to "Black Man" by Stevie Wonder a few weeks ago and thought, "I sure wish more current recording artists would start taking the risk to shake things up again". Thank you Childish Gambino! Looks like I got my wish.

What you are doing here feels not only compelling but essential at this time, like a stinging slap across the face that is ironically refreshing : BRING IT ON... MAKE US THINK AGAIN. (That's why some people are on the attack: fear of thinking... fear that someone might actually expose the stinky rot beneath the surface of life in America...

This ... is a political post. Or, at least politics inducing.

He just committed a mumble rapper massacre.

Only person i can think of this in his wheelhouse of talent is Jamie Foxx. Both triple threats.
Naw, the mumble rap massacre was Eminems verse on Catepillar a few days back. Buddy snaped.

I love people that bring attention to themselves by virtue signaling.

That dude needs to work on his pectorals.
He has that prototypical millennial pear-shape physique.
Dips, flat and incline bench pressing please.

Coulda swore he said he was retiring Childish Gambino and focusing on acting. Oh well 🤷🏾‍♂️

No matter, Childish Gambino or Don Carlo Gambino, we still need to find the right freakin' combo for the O-Line.
