Odds for win totals

LSU: A fair amount of the previews I've seen have been fairly cool on them. The expectation seems to be that they'll be decent like LSU always is, but not particularly special. That being said, since it's the first game of the season, and we have a fair bit of unanswered questions as it relates to our offense, this game appears very much up for grabs by either team. So I wouldn't necessary count on this being a win.

(0.50)(0.50)

Savannah State: I don't know why we scheduled them again.

(1.50)(1.00)

@Toledo: Woodside is gone, so we probably don't have anything to seriously worry about.

(2.50)(1.00)

FIU: They'll be competitive in C-USA again, but they're not good enough to beat the Canes.

(3.50)(1.00)

North Carolina: If Rosier forgets how to hit the broad side of a barn again, then they could be tricky, but I'm not holding my breath.

(4.35)(0.85)

Florida State: Until proven otherwise, I'll view this game as a toss up.

(4.85)(0.50)

@Virginia: If we don't come out of the gate asleep again, then we should be fine. Mendenhall is a decent coach, but the way UVA finished last year implies that they're not ready to take the next step.

(5.70)(0.85)

@Boston College: The last time BC played at home on a Friday night they crushed FSU 35-3, so the upset potential is real. I think we pull through, but it'll probably be close.

(6.30)(0.60)

Duke: We've blown them out the last two years, and I expect more of the same.

(7.20)(0.90)

@Georgia Tech: It'll be close. Why? Because it always is.

(7.80)(0.60)

@Virginia Tech: I fully expect this to be a prime time game again. We can win, but I feel that VT has a slight edge here.

(8.20)(0.40)

Pittsburgh: I badly want the Canes to get revenge, and I think they'll get it.

(9.10)(0.90)

Take the bet.
Could you please explain what the numbers in parenthesis mean? I think I follow until NC but then it gets weird to me.

Taking the over minimum 10 wins. We should be favored in every game. Lsu, Fsu, and Vtech just cuz its at lane are dangerous.
2nd best game I’ve ever been to was 2005 Miami at Lane .... Loudest game I ever been to until about the second quarter ... You could hear a pin drop .... Lane stadium is a joke 27-7 Miami

FSU, Michigan and Texas at 8.5 too? Who's making these lines? That's a bit ambitious.
I think michigan may be the only struggle to cover that. But long as shea starts that team might do some real tings. Havent looked at fspoos schedule but that sounds about right.

Can't be scared when betting.we do have the talent to win big but again our oline and rosier make you think a bit.it's like playing steel tip darts blindfolded when you throw you hope you hit the dartboard and not something or someone else.

The first number is the "wins" total, the second number is what I think the odds of winning are on a 0 to 1 scale.

I add what I think are the percentage chances of victory to get a "wins" total, from which I base whether or not it's a good idea to take the over.

I see it now, thanks for the reply.

Early lines are out.

Wow, we are now -3 at BetOnline. Before I get too giddy, this may open at the legit sites (Bookmaker, Pinnacle, Heritage, The Greek, etc.) the week of the game at a much different line, but to see this reversal is a great sign. We were seeing some LSU -3.5 before and now it's swung back in our favor.

Good catch...I think OP may have made a mistake as I believe it is still LSU -3. Would be happy to be wrong

I just checked, we are favored by 3 at BetOnline. That’s a garbage casino that will immediately peg its line to Bookmaker’s line once it is released, but very good news for now.

This site looks like a Christmas gift or an April Fool's joke. Seriously doubt they'll pay off any bettors

Now that’s good news.

Idk how ND is -7 vs Michigan though. I think that line is ****ed up.

They're not, that's a mistake. It's currently Michigan -1 -120 at BetOnline, so Notre Dame isn't even favored anymore.

I just hope everyone understands that there are low limits on these lines right now and these aren't the true openers. It's just a very good sign as of now. For all we know, it could reverse and open PK'em or have LSU favored when it matters most -- the week of the game. And the most important thing for us will be to monitor the movement of our line, not just the opener, but the closing line.

I know the game. That’s why the ND line looked way off to me. Fsu is also -6.5.
