One more OB story and I'll stfu.
So for 20 years we sat in our same seats in the lower section of the West End Zone right where the overhang started to cover the bleachers. We were several rows back, but pretty much right behind the "Legion of Doom". We sat there so long that we became friends with many of the others who routinely also sat in that area. As time went on our group even became friends with Andre Johnson's grandfather who sat right in front of us for years.
About 3-4 rows in front of us was this older couple who also came to every single game. I saw this woman at the last home game against Virginia.....but I noticed this time she was there by herself holding some type of container that I assumed was water or something. She stayed for the entire game, witnessed the *** kicking Virginia handed us, and sat through the entire post game light show. Once people started to pile out of the stadium I watched her go down to the first row right behind the end zone and empty out the contents of the container onto the field. I couldn't help but go up to her and give her a hug.....it was her husband's dying wish to have his ashes sprinkled at the OB before they tore it down.
I'll never forget that moment for the rest of my life.
