None of those places I mentioned would be considered cheap but I would assume they would be inline with Cali prices. I’m sure you can find something affordable in those areas or close to them. If I was coming out of a divorce I would definitely look for something around that corridor from Brickell, Downtown, Midtown up to Wynwood. After that I would look at the other places mentioned.
@Drewny1 Is your pref to stay in Miami-Dade??

Im paying $1700 for a 1 bedroom which is a steal for Downtown San Diego

Dadeland or sunset area isn’t too far from the action and plenty of places you can just walk to and grab a drink or have dinner. If you can afford it then brickell is another option. If you’re looking for somewhere quiet and near the water then pinecrest, Palmetto Bay, Cutler Bay Area is a better option

Looks like I definitaly can find something in my budget. Just need to finalize this divorce, cant be moving to Miami still married with all that tail around.

Ill be in Miami that weekend. Marshall plays FAU Friday night and then Miami plays GT that Saturday. During my time there ill be checking out the area as some where potentially to move to since I am just tired of Cali and the over taxation corruption that is going on.

What areas should I look at?

Florida has less taxes but more corruption. I got a great real estate plug and fellow Hurricane if you’re looking to buy something.

I might be in the market to buy because Real Estate in California is not going down anytime soon. A House in the hood of San Diego is going for $500K right now

He specializes in Boca Ocean-front. Let me know if you want the link. There’s lots of places to live but it depends on what your plans are... you should rent for a year downtown or on the bay in midtown before you buy. If you’re sitting on a few bags you should be calculated and wait for the right opportunity. Get a 1-2 bed in the bay for a year lease and get into the fitness scene, but don’t rush the movement.

As someone that lives in both I'll warn you in advance it's very similar in far too many ways. Far as somewhere to go what are you into?
