Sounds like he checks all the boxes besides one and that one is a point of contention for most on the site. As others have mentioned, Manny’s gotta knock the OC hire out the park.

I think the Difference with Manny is he is young and has the burning desire to win. Those guys are ruthless when it comes to results. Lets say he brings in this Ponce guy. If he isn't getting results, Manny wont think twice to replace him.

Let's post news and info here.

The name that intrigues me is Bill Bedenbaugh, co-OC Oklahoma. His name has been brought up before and it makes a ton of sense, especially now that we have a fresh start with Manny.

Lifelong Air Raid guy (played under Leach), has been around the best playcallers in the game, elite OL coach and evaluator of OL talent. He can help address our two biggest needs. The knock, and it's a big one, is that he's never called plays.

I like David Yost from Utah State currently at Texas Tech and Major Applewhite ran a **** of spread concept at Houston. He controlled a potent top 10 offensive attach.

Mmm intriguing for the OL side of things because he is one of the best I the biz on that front. Not sure if a OC who hasn't called plays before is a good idea. Better option than Ponce IMO though. Learned with Leach and has been with Riley now. Coached in the big games and his unit has showed up. I don't see him leaving OU though. Can't wait to see what MD does. So many options right now

But is he linked to this job?
