OC search

Art Briles
Mike McDaniels
Mike Leech (ya, I know, but still)

Briles would absolutely crush souls as an OC at Miami. But it would never happen due to them pinning that whole scandal on him at Baylor (despite him being completely cleared later on). Part of me thinks he took the brunt of it so his kid could keep working.

"Un-realistic options only."

UM would never hire him.

Mario couldn't process his offenses.

It’s that time of year folks. Who we got on the short list. Un-realistic options only please

I’ll start.

Kliff Kingsbury
It doesn’t matter who the OC will be when the Meathead wants to run a certain style of offense. That is why Brady, Dorsey, Briles and other top OC’s have turned down the opportunity to come be the OC here. No coordinator worth his salt wants to be micro-managed, and specially not by a moron and his chia pet.

Let me ask y’all something.

Shannon Dawson had the #1 offense in the country last year. We can argue why he did or who is mainly responsible for it til we’re all blue in the face, but point is, facts are facts.

So in one year, when Mario and co. run him off as the scapegoat - who in their ******* right mind would take this job if they’re an OC worth a ****?

Mario will only hire guys he’s comfortable with regardless, but point still stands. We’ll be on OC #3 in five years, and we’d have run off a guy we were worried about getting an HC gig.

At some point, the scapegoats don’t work anymore.

This what people don't understand. No legit coordinator is working for Mario for a number of reasons.

1. Any real OC is not going to allow the HC, who is an OL, meddle in his offense. There is a reason that Dawson has publicly stated not once, but twice this season that Mirabal is the RGC. He knows he is gone and wants future employers to know this trash run scheme is not his.

2. Coordinators now see they will be a scapegoat under Mario with how he cycles through them.

3. Eventually, this will come out more. Likely though when Mario is gone though. Way to many coaches who have coached under Mario here, some currently on staff, do not like him.

Happens when you run the clock down to 3 secs or less, every play
Yup and no explosive plays. We rarely throw a deep fade and test the CB's.

Also, my theory is chew clock is what has been ******* with the oline penalties so much. Standing at the LOS for 20 seconds gives the defense time to mimic, makes the oline antsy, etc. Allows no rhythm and lets defense read your formations much easier.

Unless youre up by 3 tds...chew clock pace is a negative.

No, just no. He wasn't an innocent bystander, he bullied rape victims. F that guy, and F any "Fan" that thinks the way he behaved was appropriate. He didn't commit an NCAA violation(According to the NCAA, but they also gave Paterno his wins back, so there's that), but there's no way any rational person would want that kind of man around their program.

He isn't the only guy capable of leading a good offense, FIND ONE OF THOSE GUYS.

SMU was cooking us the second they had any kind of tempo, no reason we shouldn't be able to do that same thing after a quick gainer. Our hurry up plays constantly become a immediate hbo iso right up the center's backside. We have plenty of playmakers out wide. Stop running the playclock down to 2, not sure if that's on Dawson or what the deal is. We should also try playing a dynamic guy like Schott to see what he can do....but just a thought.
