Observations from tally

"[W]in by 2 scores" and "easy victory"? The delusion around here never fades away.

I certainly hope we win, but if it happens it's not going to be easy.

When is the last time we had an easy 2-score victory over FSU? Even when we were dominant the games were 4 quarter battles.

Stopping Greene is the key. No matter where he goes have Artie or Corn man the fck up with Gunter over the top. Or bracket his ***. Winston lives off Greene. Take him away and Famous **** gets frustrated. ..game over

Greene is their version of Dorsette, and like other teams when they try to stop Dorsette they leave others open.

Rudolph ended up being what we all feared...the key here is not our secondary... its our Dline to get enough pressure on Winston..


if we give Winston enough time .. it does not matter how well our secondary plays ....

my biggest fear of this game is IF we get some sort of lead our coaches will make the mistake of "protecting the lead" vs attacking and FSU will do what it has done all year long come from behind and win

This is true (regarding Greene) but a huge different b/w their offense this year and last is that they don't have Bejamin, Shaw, and CGreen - I don't care if Lane, Rudolph and Wilson are shining, the former 3 guys are real hard to replace. Same deal goes with Freeman...yes, they have Cook (even banged up), but Freeman was very solid in many ways (pass pro, etc.).
 
If McDermott can shutdown Goldman or negate him, we should be able to run the ball, They only have like 2 scholly LBs on the roster right now

McDermott has been better this year, but shutting Goldman down is a bit much, just hope he doesn't get manhandled all game like he did against people like Easley last year.
 
Artie Burns has been the biggest benefactor of this more aggressive defense imo. He's got all the physical tools and some to put green in check, hes got to have a good game.

Freeman last year shyts down ****'s throat this year. He was not only a great college player, but he was a real man last year and he played with that edge about him from being shunned by UM coming out of HS.

People don't realize how much leadership FSU lost from last year's team. Not only were guys like Freeman, Smith, Jernigan and Joyner great players, but they were big-time leaders. This is a totally different FSU team.

also i would ad Winston expects blitz.. what won him the heisman last year was his play vs the blitz. He actually pretends not tosee the blitz to get you to fully commit and plays you in to his hand.


I think we need to keep the FSU offense on the bench for as long as possible.. they have shown time and time again they can score very quick and win games.
