I was at the game last night. First off, this is not last years team. I sat through the warmups for the miami game last year and knew we didn't have a shot. Defensively, I thought their front 4 was impressive. There are plays to be made against them through the air though. I also see #46 as a big problem for them vertically. Their linebackers struggle in coverage. Offensively, karlos Williams is a jag. Dalvin is sliding into Freeman's role nicely. He's going to be a problem for us if he plays. Their passing game is timing timing timing. Sitting in a soft zone against them will not work. We need to jam their receivers and get them out of rhythm. Jameis will get frustrated and take chances if we can accomplish this. I can't believe I'm about to type this, but if we don't turn the ball over I expect us to win the game by 2 scores. Someone is going to get them. Hope it's us. Go Canes

My concern is our line against their front four. Lets be honest, we haven't played a good defense since probably the Nebraska game. Our Oline will be tested and tested often. Hopefully they can hold up.

Other concern is will Golden stick to the aggressive play calling that we've seen. Its easy to be aggressive against weak opponents. But against the best QB in college football? We will see.

Last concern is our lack of pressure. From the games I've seen of FSU, their Oline seems to be terrible. So we may actually be able to pressure the opposing QB, something we haven't been that good at other than the UNC game I believe.

I can say this .... I think we do it. I'm saying this objectively. I say it every year out of fandom.

Sorry you had to spend more than 30 seconds in that cesspool of a town

Hate saying it but I was born in Miami and would live in Tallahassee before I would ever go back to Miami and it wouldn't be open for debate.

Who ever is calling the defense, this is the game where you throw everything at them and see what works and role with it the whole game, if it requires more nickle do it, more one gapping than two gapping do it, man press or soft zone do it

On offense im with NVA our line is a patch job right now and their front four is very good im going to be a little concerned, their LBs arent that good so if we can open up holes for duke we will be unstoppable for us, kaaya cant make mistakes and make smart throws, coley needs to step up if their is any game for him to come out of his slump it is this game

This game is winnable for us

Makes me wonder what you value. I went to FAMU (undergrad) so Tally has a special spot in my heart. My sis is a professor at FAMU and but for that she'd be gone. Not sure what could be a compelling interest in Tally, unless income (cost of living) is an issue.

The people are a whole lot politer, the drivers are less aggressive, the language is more consistent, the cost of living is lower etc. My son goes to school in Tally so I have spent enough time there to form an opinion that I wouldn't have had otherwise.

Other than 2 runs against UL what has cook done for us to be so terrified of him. I know he has elite speed but it hasn't stopped most teams from shutting him down. Maybe he makes a play against us but I am way more concerned with r Greene and Winston killing us.

Also what is the fear with their dline. They have fewer sacks than Miami and they weren't great at aacking the qb last year. Their pressure blitz packages are concern but not the front four IMHO. Edwards jr is basically chickillo. A big slow run stuffing end. Goldman is good. Who else they got?

I am white, 59 years old and American. My only problem with Spanish is the people in Miami expect you to speak Spanish and they don't have enough respect for this country to speak English thinking it is a foreign language. I personally taught many Cuban children from the Peter Pan flights English in the mid 60's and have seen where they went from eager to learn and speak English to now considering it an imposition. You can condemn me for this position all you want but my answer to any that do is do you have a Guilty Conscience.

Just out of curiosity, why is guilty conscience capitalized?

Defensively its simple, two guys need to rush the qb up the center on every play. I watched the FSU Louisville game twice and saw that in the first half, LOU lived and died by rushing at the QB up the center. The center is by far the weak spot and it forces everyone on their line to change blocking assignments. Forcing Winston to thrown the ball before he is ready is the recipe to win this game. I think we can contain their running attack because they lack the truly elite back like Nebraska had against us. This team is a suspect #2 and would have lost long ago in a different conference. I mean they beat OSU by what 3 or 4. And OSU is 5-4 in the Big 12. If we play like we did the past two weeks this will be an easy victory for Miami.

no need to get defensive. Just curious...

@Vanquish9, I'm sure black people do get annoyed, that's why I added "at least, not Hispanic" in my post. Reading is fundamental, brah. You're gna **** of MiamiJoe since you can't seem to adopt the English language

I am Latino, 1st generation US citizen, raised in SW Miami Dade and I feel you on a couple of things. 1st, I left Miami a long time ago. I still have a special place in my heart for Miami. I visit, have family and friends there but the area in general is a ******* cess pool IMO. Turned down a job and admission into a graduate program because I refuse to raise my kids down there. I currently live outside of ATL and the pace, life, schools, opportunities etc are much better IMO.

2nd, Unfortunately many individuals who espouse the "English is our language" or "English only" position also have extreme prejudice against anyone bilingual. I understand that English is our official language but we cannot expect people to just give up a major aspect of their cultural heritage (not saying this is you). Also the complete disregard for learning English is just as extreme.

Just expressing my 2 centavos.
