He moves like he's a hybrid of Sapp and Cortez.

He's obviously the future, so I'm hoping he gets more reps in the 2 deep. The only DT's so far who show playmaking ability are Willis and Nesta.

Him and Willis are Miami DT's. The rest are fill-in guys. I paid close attention to all of them and they're pedestrian. But Silvera and Willis are legit. They need to be playing together.

Funny that you say that because after rewatching the game I said to myself all of this talk about Ford and bethel was just that; talk. We need to hit on another bigtime DT in the 19 class. Legit depth is how you compete every year.

I also think Miller has a chance. Conditioning will be huge for him though.

geez, Sapp and Cortez?

I was thinking a bit more realistically and going with Maryland and Jerome Brown

But seriously, this is another young pup that needs to get snaps and get worked into the rotation

I love the kid and think he should be starting with Willis, but you guys are throwing some very big names out there. If he is half of any one of them, he will be best since Big Daddy. I’ll take that. Kid needs to be on the field a lot.

Kid is as advertised. You can see he is a leader and expects to dominate regardless of who lines up in front of him.

Coming off of a big loss playing a team like SSU it has let down potential all over it but the defense and guys like Nesta especially played with a lot of energy and emotion and really demoralized those guys throughout the game.

I was thinking Ryan Fines & Mike Wyche

Agreed, I thought Bethel was going to be a bit better but he is what he is, a role player. Silvera has some crazy strength for a true freshman.

He'll definitely bring some attitude to the DL. That part definitely reminds me of Brown. Scaife seems like he's got the same thing for the OL.

#Coachspeak they actually probablu looked good going up against the terrible second team o-line. 1 vs 2 in practice smh

Nests clearly has talent and a non stop motor. On the other hand the few plays I saw Miller he has the size but the ST OL were blocking him 1 on 1 and getting penetration on him. Has a lot to develop.

Loyal to the soil!

Was he happy with just blowing up that dude on the blocked punt?
No.
First thing he did was look for someone else to destroy.

I always thought Nesta was going to be a contributor in year 1 at Miami (no red-shirt). Albeit was against Savannah State, watching him move and how he was pushing others around as a true freshman was enlightening. There's no reason he shouldn't be in the 2-deep going forward.

Kool really hurt us recruiting wise these
last couple years. Im not sure why everyone was so crazy about Jon Ford.

He had more of an impact than the other dts in the game vs the same competition. Needs to be taking some of the backup dts reps for sure

Because he was a productive dlineman in highschool with elite size and good film. He’s still a young guy and will develop
