If the Mississippi State insider is more plugged into Miami than all of our "insiders".. absolutely nothing vague about that like what Lake has been posting. 24 hours "or so" - if Manny is fired or they say hes coming back by 5 tomorrow - this guy was more plugged in than what y'all are paying for from Ferman or the Miami 247 site.

makes sense you don't announce firing a coach unless you get assurance of a replacement. This also lines up with the timing of his contract buyout dropping too. I'm intrigued

Miss State 247 mod/insider says Kiffin has had an extension in his hands for weeks. Speculating on whether it means he's waiting to make a move or just re-negotiate.

Also says the Miami brass met with lawyers to decide Manny Diaz's fate. Would expect the news one way or the other in the next 24 hrs.

Are they waiting to get confirmation that they have their guy before making the final decision? That was his speculation/guess.
