Tbh, if true, not sure how I feel about Steele leaving. The D had some bad moments, but it generally held up well considering the offense gave it no relief

Me either. I find his resume way too good in the SEC for this year to be his fault but idk.

Butch Davis surrounded himself with a good staff. I mean the Chimp, Radio, Coker, Stoops, Kehoe etc were all quality coaches.

Instead we have Gattis.

Step 1 has to be followed before we can do the other two. We need a good staff

Stoops was never on a Butch staff...and you're missing Pagano, Sarge and Curtis Johnson....with Pagano & CJ Butch's Top 2 recruiters.

No Stoops was NEVER on any Butch staff...Stoops came in Jan 2001...2 weeks after Butch and Chuck left for the Browns ...Stop it....Stoops took over DB Coaching from Chuck Pagano, who left with Butch to Cleveland in Jan 2001....

lol I actually think Steele gone is a bit of a disservice. he wasn't amazing but id still keep him off field. have him mentor a younger candidate. I think you need to go young at both coordinator spots. it's the trend now too anyways w play callers.
