Our OL has been a weakness for far too long and especially for a school that has put out an inordinate amount of NFL talent at the position while our OL performs at a **** poor level.
Here are some thoughts:
Here are some thoughts:
- The kind of offense and game day playcalling - This topic has been worn out on this board, but I do think it has been THE biggest problem with our OL's performance. If we had a better base system that less relied upon all 11 men on O doing their jobs perfectly and more on winning individual battles, this would help our decently rated O Linemen. Also, our play calling is so predictable, or just wrong, it doesn't put our OL in a position to succeed more times than not.
- OL Training - Although, play calling and system are THE most important, it's hard to believe that our OL have received great training, so this needs to be shored up.
- PT - This continues to be an ongoing problem that each coach claims he will fix. We need to get our guys in much better condition.
