Our OL has been a weakness for far too long and especially for a school that has put out an inordinate amount of NFL talent at the position while our OL performs at a **** poor level.

Here are some thoughts:
  • The kind of offense and game day playcalling - This topic has been worn out on this board, but I do think it has been THE biggest problem with our OL's performance. If we had a better base system that less relied upon all 11 men on O doing their jobs perfectly and more on winning individual battles, this would help our decently rated O Linemen. Also, our play calling is so predictable, or just wrong, it doesn't put our OL in a position to succeed more times than not.
  • OL Training - Although, play calling and system are THE most important, it's hard to believe that our OL have received great training, so this needs to be shored up.
  • PT - This continues to be an ongoing problem that each coach claims he will fix. We need to get our guys in much better condition.
I believe good OL performance starts with the OC's system and playcalling, but you do need studs to go in there.

How about we talk kicking. We Grossly underachieved but we should have had at least 1 probably two more wins because of a pi$$ poor kicking game.

The S&C program has done wonders for Navaughn Donaldson. He went from being a mediocre G to a terrible T to a guy fat enough to play G and T at the same time.
That is on his fat a$$. I am sure the staff can get him in shape if he put down the **** Twinkies and Ho Ho's.

First, I said "less worried", not, "not at all worried".

Second, he looked a lot thinner at the beginning of the season. Is there a Golden Corral that opened near campus?

We need a recruiter on staff that can go to the Midwest, northeast or rural south and pull in some tough blue collar offensive linemen
U said it all. It's not a race thingthat I'M saying. Recruit the **** players out of Florida when it comes down to OFFENSIVE OF LINE. Midwest, prairie folks. Miami never focused on the oline. Coach Davis was the last one that recruited good olinemen

He went from extremely overweight to morbidly obese.

There are black offensive linemen in those areas too, Seantrel Henderson from Minnesota comes to mind Randy initially lost out to USC for his pledge but at least he went after him and ended up signing with Miami
