Nah...He legit has only 1 career start, so its not like he is an automatic starter anywhere on the P4 level especially as a spring transfer.Volunteers?

He's supposedly WAY better than Steve. Extremely accurate, stronger arm, more mobile. Is he better than Carr? Don't follow ND
Ok cool, hopefully he is Ian Book esque and gets rattled a bit. I'm sure the environment is gonna be nuts, all those attendance jokes won't be so funny. He's supposedly WAY better than Steve. Extremely accurate, stronger arm, more mobile.
I can't remember the last QB with 4 previous snaps that came to play us that we actually beat.Notre Dame coming to town with a QB who has 4 snaps. He might be the next Payton Manning, but that’s going to be a rough night. Angeli had a tough decision, especially because his teammates were vocal in their support and trust. He has 7 figure offers and was getting almost nothing from ND comparatively. Business decision. That is where we are. It’s good for us.
Now,Carr Can sling it & Has two guys In Malachai Fields & Number 1 for the have Size & Contested Catch ability.Man to man 8 men in the box. Man on man coverage. Stop the run at all costs and hope all our new DB’s can live on an island when we dare them to throw.
I don’t think ND is 3 deep on defense. To be fair, and strictly basing my opinion on recent games, I don't think that ND will be flustered by the environment.
Of course Miami should expect them to lean on the run game and defense and least till they are sure Carr's (likely QB) nerves are calmed. ND is very deep on defense (3 deep at each position) and 5 deep at RB. They would be smart to rely on them .
Carr is going to be really good, but this is not an easy first game
I've seen a few one point game predictions in favor of Miami in this one.
We also had a much better DL/linebacker unit back thenstud Oline and good RB.....hmmmmm, sounds like the last time we beat the brakes off of them at the Rock....
He's going to Tenn IMO.Nah...He legit has only 1 career start, so its not like he is an automatic starter anywhere on the P4 level especially as a spring transfer.
Carr is going to have a very tough time. It's going to be one of the loudest games of his life. Yes Hard Rock can be one of the loudest stadiums in the country when it's sold out. Just ask Kirk Herbstreit who said the last ND game was as loud as any game he's ever been to. I think it's a bad matchup for him in his first game of the year.To be fair, and strictly basing my opinion on recent games, I don't think that ND will be flustered by the environment.

They should be, they’re riding with a freshman this coming year, while they let their most experienced quarterback leave in the portal. Of course this is all music to my ears as a canes fan.The ND people I chat with are worried about the QB position.![]()
We have no idea what kind of front 7 we have considering the scheme they played in under Guirdy was not to their benefit. I think under Hetherman we will see what this DL was supposed to look like. Oh and we're going to run all over them. This years OL is going to be a rushing machine IMO. The crowd is going to be a HUGE factor for Carr and it's going to effect his play.Carr looked poised and confident in their Spring Game.
We still don't have an impact front 7.
in 2024, Notre Dame gave up 3 more sacks than us - with 3 more games. We will not even get a hand on the guy. If we dare to blitz, they will hit the TE or RB.
This game will come down to the offense being as close to what it was last year for us to have a chance. And without Martinez, we're not running up the middle against that defense.
i know we're gun shy due to last year ... but i'm not ready to to say we don't have an impact front 7 ... those guys have been told they suck for the better part of a year now, i'd imagine their gonna play inspired at home vs ndCarr looked poised and confident in their Spring Game.
