Notre Dame resume is terrible

It's blatantly obvious the P2 gets treated partially. The longer nonsensical **** like this continues to linger, and the longer they use convoluted stats/metrics/rankings to justify their collective insanity, the more it pushes die hard fans, like me, away.

Maybe this new generation of fans digs this ****, but I certainly don't.
As soon as I start hearing "game control", I'm out.

SOS should only count games you win. Why get the benefit of losing every game you played against good opponents?
It’s effing 2000 all over again with FSU getting in for losing to us factored into their SOS, but no HTH in most the BCS computer equations.

Idk why the big conferences haven't forced some type of stipulation on them. Notre dame has the luxury of a spot in the playoff as long as they hit 10 wins and it doesn't matter how they get them. You don't have that in a conference.
Back to back weeks a coach has said a game vs Notre dame does not matter to them.

Yeah but the difference is that the selection committee says that head to head is one of the most important decision factors when comparing two teams that are similar.

Then we should be fine, right?
I think, if we're ranked within 1 or 2 spots of them come the final ranking, they'll have to put us ahead of ND.. we'd be too similar at that point.

If we're 5+ spots apart, they could justify saying "we're not similar enough" through whatever BS they want.

If we jump Vandy tonight, I think we'll pass ND eventually as long as we win out.

Don't forget about A&M too.
Don't get me wrong, I think ND is a solid team. However, at some point you have to actually beat teams with a pulse, not just lose close games.

How good are the teams you beat? That should carry more weight than how good the teams are that you lost to. Even if it is marginally. Give them some credit for close losses, sure. Give them more credit for beating good teams. If you don't have that on your resume, you shouldn't get an abundance of credit for beating terrible teams. Terrible teams aren't playoff contenders, and are a terrible measuring stick of how good you really are.

I've seen this movie w/ the story line of "look and style points" back when F$U edged us out even though we beat them head to head that season. St. Bobby and his crew figured out before Butch did that you RUTS when you can. Hope it's not too late for us also.

Yeah, that's all we heard last year, right? We didn't beat anyone good, so we can't get in. So what holds more weight, playing a good team and losing, or beating a good team?

I hear you, but it’s literally how they’re ranking these teams every week. They are not sitting around watching games and comparing rosters. They are examining data. Just is what it is.
I agree. It's just really making college football unappealing these days, amongst other issues.

Notre Dame’s resume is bad but the two favorite movies of a lot of the committee members is Rudy and Knute Rockme All American.

beat pitt at pitt convincingly and beat USC (their best win).

if USC beats Oregon this weekend, its a much bigger win

Can we just get the bcs system back then take the top 12 teams and go from there. Its too much agendas involved here it seems
i would rather just take the APs top 12 and call it a day.

the committee was always the dumbest idea
