Their schedule was higher, because they played us, and lost. SOS shouldn't count as much when you actually lose to the good teams you play.

Basically how much you dominate games. And by McClintock’s model, NDs strength of schedule was better than Miami’s last week. And that probably won’t get any better this week with us adding NCSU and them adding a 7-3 Pitt.

He had Miami’s SOS at 44, and ND at 40. So, close obviously, but not a data point we’re being pushed by.

The Committee doesn’t use GC though. Allegedly.

ND’s remaining SOS is in the 90s and ours is in the 40s. That will help the metrics, but the metrics already like UM more than the committee.

Love the bs Gameday segment on NDs defense being elite. Graphic on the first 3 games and all the points they gave up but have now corrected and are playing “elite” defense. They leave out the first 2 games were against the only actual games they’ve had (not sold on USC). Even if you factor in their win against USC they’re giving up 31 a game in the 3 ranked games they’ve played.

Wonder when we’ll get a segment on our defense.


Also getting tired of this Love for Heisman and other awards hype that is starting to pick up. Guy did nothing against Miami and A&M.

I said the numbers for last week’s poll. ND had a higher game control metric last week. Per McClintock, who obviously isn’t in the room but is the best I’ve seen at projecting the committee. I don’t know what the number is this week after the games last Saturday. Yes I agree, I’d assume our game control metric improved after the shellacking we put on NC State.
